In addition, more than 185 digital camera crews are now at work throughout the world, capturing images six days a week. The Genealogist
• I saw a presentation on The Genealogist at the Northampton Family History Centre several weeks ago.
• I decided to take a Diamond subscription at a “show” discount, with a plan to stop my Ancestry subscription at the next renewal time and use the Library Ancestry edition
• Due to the issues referred to above, I have only now started to look at The Genealogist
The Genealogist
• Who Do You Think You Are Magazine have published two comparison features over the last two years.
• The Genealogist has proven to give the best value for money and the widest range of data.
• The Genealogist was popular for value, content and ease of navigation, as well as its impressive range of functions and features.
• "The Gold subscription is excellent value for money" Nick - Value for money [WDYTYA Magazine January 2012]
The Genealogist
• "The Genealogist has a strong census search tool to help you locate ancestors more easily" Claire - Ease of use [WDYTYA Magazine January 2012]
• "The street search tool for census records is superb." Nick - Navigation [WDYTYA Magazine January 2012]
• "Trees are quick and easy to build on the site, and the results are particularly visually attractive." Jenny - Family Tree Builder [WDYTYA Magazine January 2012]
• I'm really impressed by the extra features, ...Transcripts were better than some other sites" Raymond - Features & Quality [WDYTYA Magazine October 2009]
The Genealogist• "An excellent selection - Channel Isles, Census, Non
Conformist BMDs, quality transcripts and a facility to report errors, I liked the census search by county and year, I found several ancestors. But The Genealogist.co.uk's more advanced content - particularly the huge number of databases made it top of the class. Within 30 minutes I had found 1,2 and 3 x grandparents using the master search of all databases" Marjorie - Content [WDYTYA Magazine October 2009]
• "3 of the 5 reviewers rated TheGenealogist.co.uk as their no 1 site and the site was voted 'Best For Value' overall."
Overall Result - [WDYTYA Magazine October 2009]
So.........
I hope to give you a walk through all aspects of using The Genealogist at our April meeting...
