Passing – Team Pac ManGrid 15 x 20 yards

• Designate a team as “Pac Man”, they will begin with a ball.

• The other team are moving without soccer balls.• The “Pac Men” is attempting to pass the ball and hit other team in

their knees or below.

• As players get hit with the ball they run to a area designated by coach to wait. They can dribble, juggle, do toe touches as they wait.

• Play until everyone from one team gets hit.

Possible Coaching Points

ü Body Awareness to avoid being hit by ball.

ü Passing to hit a target, follow through at target.ü Team work, support each other, help teammates

Dribbling – Gates 1 v 1 Gates – 1 more than players present

• Put the players in pairs.

• One ball per group. • The players will play 1 v 1 against each other.

• If the attacker loses the ball, they become the defender. Keep track of gates.

Possible Coaching Points

ü Where is your defender giving pressure.

ü Can you escape your defender?ü Transition from defense to attack quickly.

Game Play – SEE YA! TO 4 GOALSGrid 15 x 20

• Place all balls in a pile.

• Have players line up in two teams on either side of the coach.

• Coach sends ball into field. Start 1 v 1.• As they get the game call out a number of players to send

on the field, 2 v 2 etc…• Teams play directionally to goals/.

• Keep the game moving quickly.

ü Look to attack right away

ü Keep ball under control while attackingü Transitions between attacking and defending

ü Work with teammates in 2 v 2 +GUIDED QUESTION- CAN YOU FIND THE OPEN GOAL?
