WE WANT NOT ONLY TO DO THE RIGHT THINGS BUT DO THE THINGS RIGHT.

But here am I with all of you, determined to transform GRAVITA into a heavy weight with GRAVITY . What we need to instill is a culture of discipline. Most companies have a culture, some even have discipline, but very few have a culture of discipline. If you have disciplined people, you don’t need hierarchy. If you have disciplined thought, you don’t need bureaucracy. If you have disciplined action, you don’t need excessive controls. It is when we combine a culture of discipline with an ethic of entrepreneurship, do we get the magical alchemy of great performance. We need to think differently in terms of technology too if this transformation has to come good. We must remember that technology can never be the primary means of igniting a transformation. Yet, when opportunity beckons we need to be pioneers in the application of carefully selected technologies. Technology, at best, can only be an accelerator. We are not revolutionaries. Dramatic changes and wrenching restructurings will never make the leap from good to great. We cannot aspire to do it all in one great swoop like cracking a jackpot.

We are fully aware that to take a jump from good to great there can be no defining action, no single grand programme, no one killer innovation, no solitary lucky break, no miracle moment. Rather it has to be like relentlessly pushing a giant heavy flywheel in one direction, turn upon turn, building momentum until the point of breakthrough, and beyond. To us you are our most valuable asset and it is our endeavour to instill leadership in every nook and cranny of our organization. And it is this spirit that is going to sustain us in the future. We want to make GRAVITA the envy of other businesses. Every master chef will confide that following the recipe and using high quality ingredients alone will not create a culinary masterpiece. Our first foray into Lead Manufacturing & Recycling began with the establishment of Gravita India Limited, in the year 1992 at Jaipur, the state capital of Rajasthan, at a distance of 280 km from Delhi, the capital of India. Jaipur is well connected by rail, road and air.

The GRAVITA Group is one of the leading business groups in India in the field of manufacture of Lead Metal and its allied products. The initial objective of the Company was to manufacture Lead Metal by the process of smelting from Battery scrap (ULAB) which was later extended to Lead Refining, Lead Alloying and Lead Oxide (Litharge, Red Lead & Lead Sub-Oxide) manufacturing GRAVITA is owned and managed by a forward-looking team of professionals, with an experience of more than 17 years. GRAVITA Operations AFTER having successfully established ourselves in India, our first overseas project took us to Sri Lanka in the year 2000. Navam Lanka Limited is the first ever Eco-friendly Lead metal recycling facility in Sri Lanka. It has been recognized by the Sri Lankan Board Of Investment and is certified by ISO. From then on, we have never looked back and today our presence exists in all the major continents of the world. We have Lead recycling facilities today in Ghana, Senegal, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Zambia, Georgia and the Honduras. We also have a technical tie-up with AUSMELT of Australia. We have also commissioned several Lead Recycling plants abroad on turn-key basis for our valued customers. GRAVITA Group, today, is consolidating its strengths and looking for new opportunities of growth. V.P . - Operations The Indian cabinet has approved a Bill allowing overseas players to open education campuses in India. So, Indian students are a step closer to gaining access to foreign universities on home ground. It will be in everyone's interest. It purports to be the next big revolution in the history of India, after telecom, resulting in accessibility to top quality higher education as India, after China, has the world's largest student population including outbound scholars. It'll be foolish not to roll the red carpet. Entry of foreign entities will inevitably impact the domestic education providers who will need to compete against internationally accepted courses and upgraded facilities. This will benefit the education sector as a whole and provide a bonanza for aspiring students. Overall, "brain gain" will replace “brain drain”. If students are able to access high-grade educational services and acquire the much-sought-after 'foreign degrees' at home, they'd have less reason to move out. It'll also bring about a qualitative improvement in our teachers. In the process, we will get to attract more foreign students who would bring foreign exchange as well as reduce the flight of foreign exchange - which can run into billions of dollars - in the form of students' expenses. At the same time care has to be taken that the foreign players should not change their course towards more liberal & attractive destinations like China. The government has to give such incentives which would lure them here and make them stay forever . Indeed, if it happens, India is going to shine and can even over-take CHINA.

Work Hard, Party Harder The highly workaholic employees of Gravita are second to none when it comes to partying. The time was apt and the stage was set for a grand celebration. On March 13, 2010, Gravita Family celebrated Holi Milan Samaroh. The celebrations took place at the ‘Jaipur Greens’ where amidst heavy winds the Gravita Flag fluttered high. It started with a balloon bursting ceremony by the honorable Managing Director, Mr. Rajat Agrawal followed by events like couple dance, Freeze dance, Tug-of-war, Best Papa award, Jodi contest, and the likes. The Gravita employees were given funny titles based upon their personality attributes, accompanied with related mementoes. The occasion lived up to the expectations and the motive of bringing unison between the employees and exploring hidden talents was adequately realized. The stars of the night were the employees of Gravita along with the management who contributed immensely in making the event a grand success. All the staff members unleashed on the opportunity and shook their legs towards the end. The celebrations concluded with dinner holding promise of more such days to come.
