A paragraph is a collection of

sentences that describe, discuss, or

explain one central idea.

We have 5 types of Paragraphs

Descriptive Paragraph

Describe how something or someone looks or

feels.

Include how the writer feels.

Creates a sensory image on the readers mind.

Example:

My life was totally different in some aspects, not only in the food, in school, cellphone, attitude, house, friends, and more other things, my life change much, is different to 5 years ago, before I was have a small house and lived in other house now I live in a big house and is more beautiful, in the food I don’t ate tomato and vegetables now I eat much things, except sea food that are ugly, I has a small cellphone with camera but now I have a blackberry soon galaxy S4 that are beautiful, big, sunshine, especial, in my school I was in NAS that is big, have wood, but no more how in I study now, IGA that are very big, beautiful, and friends I have more friends , but I don’t change my best friend and my other friends but in this school I found great friends, beautiful not only in the face if don’t in the heart, are specials, are intelligent and they help you when you need.

Example Paragraph:

Is paragraph that introduces a subject in the

topic sentence and gives three examples of the

subject in the body help to understand the

principal idea that you want give to interpret.

Example:

We always want eat junk food like hamburgers, tacos, pizza, and fried chicken. But we don’t eat that kind of food all days, because if we do that maybe we will have health problems. Like obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis and fractures. An in the worst of the cases we can die young. But we can have a healthy live doing exercise, eating healthy food, drinking a lot of water and sleeping 7 to 8 hours per day. If we really do that we maybe will be a de-stressed society and we have a relaxing life and healthy. How I mentioned one way of have a less stressed life is doing exercise. Doing exercises we have this advantage reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes, Improve joint stability, Increase and improve range of movement and improve memory in elderly people. So are many ways to have a healthy life. We only have to do our better effort, because we are the only beneficiaries.


Opinion Paragraph:

The opinion paragraph expresses our

ideas, feelings or believes. In this

paragraph you can write your ideas of a

specific topic. In this paragraph you can’t

use the expressions: “in my opinion” or “I

think”


Example:

The best age to get married

The best age to get married it doesn’t exist. You ask why? Because we can’t be sure about if we are ready to do that. I will get married when I’ll finalize my studies. One possibility is that I married one or maybe two years before I graduate of the university. I don’t know why, but that is my idea. My parents say that I have to get married at twenty-three years, but I really don’t know what I have to do. In this moment I think that I don’t have to pay attention to this situation, because I am so young to think about those things. In this moment I have to be focus in my studies. That it’s the important now. I have approximately ten years to thinking about get married to someone. So we don’t have age to get married. If you want you can get married now or in ten years it doesn’t matter. Just be happy and don’t worry about the future. Live the present and forget your past.


Narrative Paragraph:

Narrative paragraphs are a lot of fun to write. Here you can

tell your reader a story from beginning to end. You don't have

to imagine anything out of the ordinary - only tell the story, tell

what happened. This alone usually allows the nervous writer to

stop worrying about generating ideas, and to concentrate on

organizing the events in the story being told. A narrative

paragraph is used in fiction and includes the setting, a

protagonist, a goal, an obstacle, a climax and a resolution. It is

one of seven kinds of paragraphs used in literature.

Example:

I´M A HAPPY PERSON

In the school I’m really happy because everyday I bother with Alejandra, Ricardo and Edson, because we made funny things, Alejandra is always making funny sounds and for that we begin. When the year began and I started to know my classmates and began to talk about our life and our last school, that was amazing. Now we are best friends and we´re a joined group. I like to play Xbox online because all the versions always are actualized, and you compete many people of the world. I´m a happy when I win the videogames because is a big record to me. My friends play with me. When I win the videogames I earn money because I make deals with them. When I went to other places, I choose ancient places because in there I feel happy, and I began to think how the other people lived in there. I like to talk with new people in the placed I have visited, because they talk about their costumes and food. That make me happy. I´m happy in the school very interesting and big. I talk with my friends about my actually school. We go out every Saturday to Oakland or to other places. If you are unhappy you always will be down

Process Paragraph:

A process paragraph (or essay) explains how

to do something or describes or explains how

something is done. The process should be

described in a series of steps that follow a

logical time order.


Example:

How to prepare a cake

Making a cake is very easy id you follow the steps correctly. The steps have a specific order, so this can’t be change. First you have to decide the flavor of the cake. For example if it’s a chocolate cake, a vanilla cake or cherry cake. Second you have bought the ingredients to make the mix of your cake. Then you have to buy the flour with the flavor that you decided, the least, sugar, butter, eggs and salt. Third you must prepare your kitchen for cooking. Prepare the tools like the bowl for the mix, spoons, measuring cup and a baking dish. Then you prepare the mix. So you have mix together the flour, the baking powder and the salt in a bowl. After that, add the eggs and the vanilla. Continue adding the rest of the ingredients and finally you can bake the cake. As you see making a cake is not a big trouble.
