Folds are curves which are like an alternation of convex and concave waves. For geometrical point of view, the concave areas are called synclinal and theconvex areas anticlinal. Folds are create by tensionstresses.
DEFINITION
They are two types:
Anticline fold
Syncline fold
TIPES
Linear, strata normally dip away from axial center, oldest strata in center.
