OSSEOINTEGRATION

Formation of a direct interface between an implant and bone, without intervening soft tissue

FIBRO INTEGRATION

• Fibrointegrated implants are the earlier forms of dental implants that are not commonly used today, as they are not as successful.

• Presence of a layer of fibrous connective tissue intervening between a dental implant & the adjacent bone.

• Proposed by Dr.Charles Wiess.

• These type of dentures are used as adjuncts stress distribution along with implants rather than used as implants by themselves
