Abstract: Due to completion of taxonomical descriptions of mosquitoes in the Ryukyu Archipelago, type specimens of Toρomyia yanbarensis Miyagi and 3 endemic species, Aedes daitensis Miyagi et Toma, Toxorhynchites okinawensis Miyagi, Toma et Tanaka and Ficalbia ichiromiyagii Toma et Higa, were properly deposited in the National Science Museum, Tokyo and the Entomological Institute of Hokkaido Uni-versity in 2005. Deposition lists of type specimens of the 4 species are shown in this paper

Due to completion of taxonomical de-scriptions of mosquitoes in the Ryukyu Archipelago, type specimens of Toρomyza yan如何nsisMiyagi and 3 endemic species,

Aedes daitensis Miyagi et Toma, Toxo-

rhynchites okinawensis Miyagi, Toma et Tanaka and Ficalbia ichiromiyagii Toma et Higa, were transferred from the labora-tory of Medical Zoology of the University of the Ryukyus to the National Science Museum of Japan and the Entomological Institute of Hokkaido University in which the type specimens were planned to be deposited. Type material information and deposition lists are shown in the present paper, Type specimens of the species deposited in the Natural History Museum,

London, United Kingdom, and the Nation-al Museum of Natural History, Smithsoni-

an Institution, Washington D.C., also are listed.

sociated larval and pupal exuviae on a slide, Found as 4th stage larva in a bamboo internode at Yona, Kunigami,

northern Okinawa Island, the Ryukyus,

Japan, on November 26, 1975, by 1. Miyagi (Deposition: the Entomological In-stitute of Hokkaido University (EIHU)). Paratypes: Male (75913・1)and a female

(75711-4-4), with associated larval and pupal exuviae on slides (Deposition: the National Science Museum (NSM)). Male (751113) and a female (75826) (NSM). Larval and pupal exuviae (75530-10) from
