( Why does BW/IP give you standard features such as our unique Positive Sealing Top & Bottom Interstage Bolting and a super robust shaft through the impeller?
It is not normal operation that causes down-time in critical and hazardous duty multistage pump applications, but less controllable items such as system upsets, process changes or abnormal operation that keeps a heavy duty API 610 pump from extended mean-time-between-failure performance...
For this reason a light or medium duty pump SHOULD NOT be applied in most critical or hazardous services.
That is why BW/IP only manufactures a heavy-duty version of our MX Pump. In today's safety and environmentally-conscious climate a medium/light duty multistage pump may not provide the reliability and performance that you require.
