Congratulations to our three brothers who are now Frontiersmen: Kelly Waterman, Michael Pisana, and Matt Marek. We Would also like to also extend a congratulations to our newest brother mentors: Jason Voth, AJ Pisana, Kelly Waterman, Michael Pisana, Kris Bollman, and David Cumming. This past spring we also initiated four new brothers into Sigma Phi Epsilon. Joey Torres # 626, Stephen Cronin #627, Luis Canul #628, and Corey Milan #629 This is the first edition of the Texas Delta Alumni Newsletter. The purpose of this bi- annual newsletter is to keep the alumni updated on what the Texas Delta chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has accomplished and what our upcoming plans for the next few months are. By providing a newsletter that lists our plans, we hope to keep a larger portion of the alumni in the loop in regards to our operations and as well as improve our communication. SigEp featured in Study Breaks Magazine In November 2009, Texas Delta was featured in the Hot Organizations section of the UH magazine. The interview focused on our fraternity and what we were all about. Brother President Michael Pisana provided the interview for the magazine. “THIS FRATERNITY WILL BE DIFFERENT...” New Executive Committee The new Executive Committee has ocially taken their positions and have been working hard while organizing plans for the Spring and Summer of 2010. SIGMA PHI EPSILON

FALL FORMAL 2009

Balanced Man Scholarship

The Balanced Man Scholarship was presented to Chris Lewis in the fall of 2009. He was awarded 500 dollars towards his tuition. The next Balanced Man Scholarship is expected to reach a greater number of incoming students.

Carlson Leadership Academy

During the last Carlson Leadership Academy, the Texas Delta chapter was presented with the academic excellence award. This year, CLA will be during February 19th-21st.

Community Service

In 2009, the Texas Delta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon logged in about 150 hours of community service. The March Of Dimes, which is an organization dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality, was just one of the many community service opportunities that the brothers of SigEp took part in.

Congratulations to the our brothers who recently graduated. Brothers AJ Pisana, Kris Bollman, Justin Bauman

New Sweethearts

This past formal we welcomed four new SigEp Sweethearts. Chi Omega’s Lorelei Nilsson, Alpha Chi Omega’s Cheryl Farr, Patti Carlton, and Susan Cumming were all presented with Sigma Phi Epsilon Sweetheart recognition.

Frontier Fiesta: Looking back and ahead

In 2009 SigEp teamed up with the lovely ladies of Chi Omega and received the highly coveted Joe Koppel Award. With Frontier Fiesta just around the corner, SigEp plans on having a car smash and donating the profits to the Youth Aids Foundation.

Successful Homecoming

Together with the beautiful ladies of Alpha Chi Omega, SigEp participated in Homecoming this past fall and placed 2nd place overall winner. SigEp and AXO also won the following awards:

• 1st place banner• 2nd place Strut Your Stuff• 1st place Homecoming Float
