alone was the ideal and today stiff rust ¬ ling fabric seems to be nonexistnt Presentday modes demand the cling- ing ¬ supple weaves that fall in soft folds and almost drape themselves- The variety is apparently inexhaust- ible ¬ chiffon voile chiffon satin and marquisette crepe meteore liberty chiffon these are only a very few bf the lovely shining fabrics Other silks may come and obut foulard is always with us This season itla well to the fore chev ¬ ronpatterned coinspotted with striking Oriental borders or vin small inconspicuous figures In the ubiquitous pongee the stencil effect- is the newest thing and the rough Japanese weaves are the favorites beautiful new material is silk cashmere with all the I desirable qualities the woolen fabric and with the lustre of silk it drapes de ¬
