California Institute for Water Resources The Institute is the California hub for the national network of water research institutes supported by the federal Water Resources Research Act of 1964. We fulfill our mission of integrating California’s water-related research, ex-tension, and education programs by facilitating collaborative research and outreach on water issues across California’s academic institutions and with international, federal, state, regional, nonprofit, and campus communities.

Our Programs S Junior investigator support

The Institute leverages federal investment to support the work of junior faculty and academics that are researching and communicat-ing solutions to California’s most pressing water issues.

S University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Strategic Initiative on Water

The overall goal of the Water Initiative is to define, prioritize, and implement actions that effectively and efficiently help California address water issues and challenges.

S Rosenberg International Forum on Water Policy

The Rosenberg International Forum on Water Policy is held every other year in selected locations around the world. Interactive discussions on water policy and the science of water management in different communities around the globe are at the heart of the forum.
