Need for an innovation and knowledge entrepreneurship supportive culture have clearly been demonstrated as a key ingredient. A community that commits to literacy & enrichment of arts and science on an individual, family, community basis become essential. The role of research universities in communities ; on a regional
economic cluster increasingly become critical.
There are risks and dangers. Relentless pursuits of “mass culture” and “mass thinking” made possible by new technology become easier and erode the role of thoughtful individuals and small groups so essential to innovation (reduce cost).
