Drop in, explore, discover…Twilight at the Museums is a FREEafter-hours event for families.

Here’s some advice to get you started:

Pack a torch. Some museums and collectionswill be dark.

Take your time. Choose one or two places andtake time to have fun and discover.

Get off the beaten track. Whether it’s visiting somewhere for the first time or trying out something new, there are lots of exciting places to choose from.

Our Twilight venues welcome all visitors. Further information about access can be found on individual websites. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Just email [email protected] or phone 01223 746406.

TRAVELMost venues do not have parking facilities and we recommend that you consider alternatives to driving. Cambridge Park & Ride runs until 8.30pm and 3 children travel free with each paying adult.Park and Ride: www.cambridgeparkandride.info

FOOD & DRINK

• Downing Site (outside the Sedgwick Museum and Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology): Azahar Food Van – hot Spanish sandwiches and chips Caffè Mobile – hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks Churros Bar – Spanish doughnuts and hot chocolate Hot Sausage Company – hot pork sausages in a roll

• Botanic Garden – café serving hot and cold food, drinks and snacks (closes at 7.30pm).

• Cambridge Museum of Technology – café serving hot drinks and snacks.

• Fitzwilliam Museum – café serving hot and cold snacks and drinks (closes at 7pm).

• Kettle’s Yard – café serving hot drinks and snacks.

• The Polar Museum – Rural Coffee Project selling hot and cold drinks and snacks.

TOILET FACILITIES

All museums* have toilets; additional toilet facilities are located on the Downing site.* Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences: toilets and baby-changing will be provided by the temporary facilities on the Downing site.

*All Saints Church: toilets are located next door at Wescott House.

*Great St Mary’s Church: the nearest toilets are located in Grand Arcade shopping centre.

VISITING WITH YOUNGER CHILDREN
