Father Brian Harrington, Pastor
The number of priests per Catholic has declined over the past 40 years. This makes it more difficult for individual parishioners to establish a close relationship with any one particular priest. Furthermore, priests are no longer the only ones who offer pastoral care to our people. Yet without a priest, no parish is able to be a Eucharistic community. It is important to reaffirm the importance of the priesthood of Jesus Christ
Please pray for our parish family members who are sick: Ella Mae LeBlanc, Leslie Douet, Susie M. next weekend. October 24/25. This year’s theme is “Here I Am, Send Me”.
Pope Francis invites the entire Church to support mission dioceses in Africa, Asia,
the Pacific Islands and parts of Latin America & Europe , where priests,
religious and lay leaders serve the world’s most vulnerable communities.
Thanking you in advance if you are able to help!
Please remember in your prayers:
Adam Richard who was buried from our parish. May he rest in peace. May his family and friends be comforted by our prayers and God’s abundant graces. Thanks to all those who offered prayers & support to his family.
Viewing daily & weekend Masses!

the quarantine lift, please note that Father Harrington is still live streaming the daily masses at the regularly scheduled times of Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday through Friday at 7:00 a.m., and the weekend Mass at 9:00 a.m. Sunday on Facebook Live to view live or at your convenience. Once the Mass has been recorded, Father Harrington will insert a link on our church website (olpscoteau.com) for you and your family to view at your convenience. Please refer to our Website and Facebook page for all other information you may need. As notifications are sent to us from Bishop Deshotel we will then inform our parish family of all events. A huge thank you to our parish family for the commitment to the 2020 Bishop’s Services Appeal on behalf of our church. Thus far this year we have already sur-passed last year’s giving totals at this time. The appeal will end on November 30th.
As of Sept. 30th, the parish has given a total of $14,185. Our total goal set for us by the diocese is $22,579. That’s 63% of our goal.
