Molly Wendell Author & Speaker

Molly Wendell is the ultimate networking expert — a modern-day Dale Carnegie — who has been featured on major TV networks

including ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, and WGN. A leading authority, author, and speaker on networking for the new millennium, Molly

Wendell is passionate about the dramatic impact that relationship building has on organizations and the team members who

work within them. She is the founder of one of the largest executive networks in the U.S. and spent twenty years working for

Fortune 500 and Inc. 5000 companies running marketing and strategy. Molly has written two books: “The New Job Search:

Break All The Rules,” the go-to-guide for executives in the job search, and recently published “The Networked Organization,”

where she reveals a powerful results-oriented approach for helping teams leverage intentional networking to accelerate revenue.

Molly holds an MBA from University of California-Irvine, and a BS in marketing from San Diego State University. She is married

with twins and three stepchildren, and lives in Denver, Colorado.

Steve Moore Chief Economist at the Heritage Foundation

Stephen Moore is chief economist at the Heritage Foundation, the largest private research institute in Washington, D.C. He is

also a contributor to the Wall Street Journal and a daily Fox News economics commentator where he provides analysis on the

economy, fiscal policy and politics. From 2005 to 2014, Moore served as the senior economics writer for the Wall Street Journal

editorial page and a member of the Journal’s editorial board. He can also be seen regularly on CNN and CNBC TV. He is a

frequent lecturer to business, investment and university audiences around the world on the U.S. economic and political outlook

in Washington, D.C. From 1999-2004, Moore served as founder and President of the Club for Growth, a 25,000-member

organization dedicated to helping elect free market, tax cutting candidates to Congress. In his tenure as President, the Club for

Growth became one of the most influential and respected political organizations in the nation. In 2003-04, the Club for Growth

raised nearly $22 million for Republican congressional and Senate candidates, making the Club the biggest single money raiser

for Republican candidates outside the party itself. In 2007, he received the Ronald Reagan “Great Communicator” award from

the Republican party for his advancement of economic understanding. Mr. Moore has served as a Senior Economist at the Joint

Economic Committee under former Chairman Dick Armey of Texas. There, he advised Mr. Armey on budget, tax, and compet-

itiveness issues. He was also an architect of the famous Armey flat tax proposal. From 1983 through 1987, Mr. Moore served

as the Grover M. Hermann Fellow in Budgetary Affairs at the Heritage Foundation. Mr. Moore has worked for two presidential

commissions. In 1988, he was a Special Consultant to the National Economic Commission. In 1987, he was Research director

of President Reagan’s commission on Privatization. Mr. Moore is the author of six books. His latest book is Who’s the Fairest of

Them All? The Truth About Taxes, Income and Wealth in America published in 2012 by Encounter. His previous books include

most recently Return to Prosperity: How America Can Regain Its Economic Superpower Status. That book was a finalist for the

F.A. Hayek book award for advancing economic understanding. His books also include: It’s Getting Better All the Time: The 100

Greatest Trends of the Last Century, and Government: America’s Number One Growth Industry. Mr. Moore is a graduate of the

University of Illinois and holds an MA in Economics from George Mason University. In 2010 he was awarded the University of

Illinois alumni of the year.

Lifetime Achievement Award

resident of Aspen since 1972, Brian Hazen lives with his wife Brigid, their

two teenage children–son, Will, and daughter, Alex–and two King

Charles Spaniels, in their in-town riverfront residence. Brian’s Aspen real estate

career came about on a chance visit during a University Ski Trip to Vail in the

spring of 1972. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison

with a degree in Economics, Brian put plans for Law School on a temporary

hold and moved to Aspen for the 1972-73 ski season. One glorious season

became a lifetime as Brian found his future home in the Rocky Mountains.

Brian joined Coates, Reid and Waldron, a boutique real estate and property

management firm, as a sales associate in 1977. Having been raised with a

strong Midwest work ethic and motivated with a new found focus and drive,

Brian very quickly blossomed into a consistently productive and successful

sales associate. He continued his real estate advancement and was named a

General Partner in 1987, when Coates, Reid and Waldron joined Who’s Who

in Luxury Real Estate.

Brian’s reputation for client commitment and market knowledge helped drive

CRW to the peak of Aspen real estate brokerages in total Aspen/Snowmass sales

volume combining new, innovative sales techniques with dynamic marketing concepts. CRW set standards for annual average

broker production, leading the Aspen/Snowmass market in company sales volume for 15 consecutive years, which attracted the

attention of national firms, and subsequently CRW was purchased by Resort Quest International in 2000. Becoming a Founding

Broker of the Managing Broker Group, Brian continued on the management team for CRW Real Estate until Resort Quest sold

the entire Real Estate Division in 2009. Brian was Top Producer at CRW for 11 of the last 12 years there, and shortly thereafter,

became Vice President and Broker Associate with Mason Morse Real Estate, Aspen’s oldest real estate firm, founded in 1952.

Excited and reinvigorated, Brian was instrumental in introducing Coldwell Banker Mason Morse to his longtime association

with Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate, resulting in Coldwell Banker Mason Morse’s nomination as LRE’s exclusive Regent for

the Aspen/Snowmass area.

His productive sales record continued with multiple $100 Million sales years, LRE Significant Sales Awards in 2010, 2013 and

2014, and became the Recipient of LRE’s Billionaire’s Club Award in 2011. Brian was also recognized in 2011, 2012, 2013,

2014 and 2015 by the Real Trends Top 100 and Top 250 and with Coldwell Banker’s International Presidential Premier Award,

the top 1% of Coldwell Banker agents worldwide. His sales expertise encompasses a diverse range of market knowledge and

experience. Brian has accomplished a variety of significant sales in his career including 16 individual sales over $10 million,

3 over $20 million and a two-home country estate for $41 million. Adding to this diversity, Brian has sold six ranches of 1000

acres or more in his long career. Brian has a reputation for unparalleled client representation, a 24/7 work ethic, unquestioned

integrity and absolute discretion. These qualities have allowed him to work comfortably with a wide array of clientele that

includes well-known entrepreneurs, professional athletes, Wall Street executives, movie industry moguls, and the many

personal referrals they entrust to him.

Living in Aspen for almost 45 years, Brian has made many philanthropic commitments to his eclectic mountain community.

He has served multiple offices at the Aspen Board of Realtors, is a past Director of Trout Unlimited, a Fellow at the Aspen

Institute for Humanistic Studies, prominent contributor to various local non-profits, and currently sits on committees of the

Aspen Historical Society and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Brian is a member of LRE’s Board of Regents’ National Executive

Committee, sits on the University of Wisconsin’s Department of Economics’ Advisory Board and is a member of that

University’s prestigious Bascom Hill and Carillon Societies. Brian believes we owe our clients, customers and friends the utmost
