InspirationThe magazine myself and fellow group members Holly and Verity chose to focus on was ‘Radio Times’. This magazine is a weekly television and radio programme listing magazine founded and originally published in-house by BBC from 1923 to 2011. We felt due to the magazine’s popularity and frequent distribution the magazine would be an ideal candidate for an article about our own documentary, ‘Music, Mind, Mayhem’. It’s popular amongst a variety of age groups would allow are documentary to be accessed by extensive audience, this we felt would be most fitting as our documentary’s content is fairly generic and its features are both informative as well as entertaining.

Ideas

Looking at a variety of double-page spreads both in the radio times and other TV listing magazines we are able to identify key features which are own article should include. We carefully assessed both language and layout to plan our own double-page spread and make sure it was in line with those found in the Radio Times and that it would capture the attention of readers.
