Nielsen report on 2008Online video up 15% to 3 hours per month

Time shifted video up 11% to 7 hours per monthTraditional TV up by 3.6% to 151 hours per month

There are many challengers to YouTube

but all are way behind in the race. Some differentiate by

quality, others by social tools

Slipstream Socialized TV

SlipStream (created partly by an ex-BBC colleague) is a new

service from just starting in the UK - that can sit on all 9 million (mostly

unconnected) freeview boxes and most importantly gets its connectivity by

pairing to you mobiles or computers. Uses TV-Anytime standards too!

Socialized TVUStream is for anyone who has

something to say. Leo Laporte here has created a multi-stream, video skype based studio, and uses broadcast cameras. He simultaneously does his talk back radio

alongside the live video on Ustream. Preparing for a web/radio only future?
