• The tools I used : saw, jigsaw, screwdriver, spirit level, sander, silicone caulking gun.

• It took me 2 afternoons to make it. !YOU’LL ALSO NEED

• Some screws 4.5x40 and 4 screws 6x120,

• 4 transparent self-adhesive bumper pads,

• Silicon cartridge,

• I left a rough finish but it is possible to stain or paint it.

STEP 1 Choose the pallet you’ll use as tabletop! Choosing your pallet is always the first and decisive step. Remember in our case, that’s the wood you’ll always see on the top! Concerning dimensions, it really depends on the glass your have in your garage.

I gave the dimensions I had in the previous page. You can also buy one at the dimension you need at your DIY store.

Of course, in our case, you’ll need a pallet with no space between boards (or you’ll need a preliminary step to fill the spaces of the plate with other wood planks).

HERE IS HOW

STEP 3 Now, put the glass on your tabletop in order to prepare the frame of the table.

STEP 2 Cut away the excess wood to trim it to the size of the glass pane. Then, sand the wood until you get the result you want (roughness).

STEP 4 You have to choose and cut 4 more boards (from pallet in my case). Then pre-drill holes, remembering that the frame has to be 2mm higher than the glass. Once prepared, sand these boards too.

STEP 5 For the feet, I cut 4 hardwood ties from another big pallet i had in my garage. You can adjust the height. Before fixing them, sand them.

STEP 6 The frame is first attached to the tabletop (remember the 2mm) as prepared in step 4.

Turn your table upside down to fix the 4 feet with the help of the spirit level to be sure you get 90° angles. They are screwed to the sides using small screws, then screwed from above with the large screws.

STEP 7 Stick the non-adhesive transparent bumper pads under the glass pane and then place the glass top in the wooden frame.

Finally, using the silicone gun, make a small seal between the glass and wood to avoid cuts. You’ll get a clean result!
