Important Notes Dear Everyone,

It has been a terrific second week back at school, with the children continuing to settle well into their new classes and excellent learning taking place across school. It really is so lovely to be back at Turves Green after being on secondment for Spring and Summer term.

The first of the afterschool sports clubs have taken place this week, with lots of children enjoying the extra-curricular activities. Do remember that there will be plenty of opportunities for children to take part in afterschool clubs this year, so keep a look out for what comes on offer!

This week was the launch of ‘Flexi-Friday’, which will take place every two weeks. It has been great to walk around school and see so many of the children engaged and enthused by exciting and creative learning. We have had a day of Roman shield and Bayeux tapestry construction, fire sculpting for the Great Fire of London topic and much more. Do ask your children what amazing things they have been up to!

Please remember to make sure that your children are reading and using Mathletics for at least 10 minutes each day – it really does help their progress.

Have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday. Mrs Harker-Daniels Deputy Headteacher
