Turnstile Antenna
A Turnstile Antenna is a set of two dipole antenna aligned at right angles to each other and fed 90 degrees out-of-phase.
Turnstile Antenna Geometry
Design FormulaAntenna length : l = (c/2 f).A Where l = length of antenna c = velocity of light f = operating frequency
A = Velocity factor(0.44-0.49)Calculated value : l = 63 mm f = 2.1 GHz

Analysis Software Tool HFSS
HFSS : High Frequency Structure SimulatorANSOFT HFSS is the framework upon which the industry’s broadest suite of advanced engineering simulation technology is built. An innovative project schematic view ties together the entire simulation process, guiding the user every step of the way.Even complex multiphysics analyses can be performed with drag-and-drop simplicity.With bidirectional CAD connectivity, an automated project update mechanism.

PROPOSED APPLICATIONS High Frequency Range (3.5 GHz and above) Marine Radio Determination (Radar). Government Radiolocation. Radiolocation, Speed Measuring Devices. Automatic Vehicle Identification Systems (AVIS).
CONCLUSIONS We get the unidirectional radiation pattern. Radiation becomes more uniform and directional at phi 90. Electric field strength near to feed point is more then far from the feed point.Required area in turnstile patch is lower than wire turnstile antenna, for same electric field strength..
