Turn Around Statements (Review morning, mid-day and at bedtime) 1. Thoughts and events from my past cause how I feel. I will always be bad. My past does not cause how I feel. It is what it is and I let it go.

I don’t like it, that’s okay. I can stand it anyway. It is what it is. 2. He/she is supposed to like or love me all the time.

It’s okay! I can’t be liked or loved by every all the time. 3. I must be achieving in all important respects in order to be worthwhile.

I cannot be everything to everyone all of the time. 4. I should be everything to everyone all of the time.

It’s okay not to be everything, for everyone, all the time. 5. Life should be fair and the way I want it to be.

It’s okay. Life is not fair. I can stand it. 6. It’s awful and terrible when things are not the way I want them to be.

Life’s an adventure and I can stand it.

7. What happens to me causes how I feel. The past is not a predictor of the future. I can stand this! 8. I should look good to all people in order to be worthwhile.

I love myself for who I am and for where I am at. I am great! 9. Reverse Paranoia (Jack Canfield)

This bad event is happening to prepare me for future events that are great. 10. Mistakes are never acceptable. If I make one, it means that I am incompetent. To make mistakes is to be human. I choose to learn from my mistakes. It’s okay. 11. When somebody disagrees with me, it is a personal attack against me.

It’s okay when others disagree with me. I can stand it. I can’t agree with others all the time. 12. If I am not involved in an intimate relationship, I must be completely alone.

I am okay if I do not have a significant other. Great people are coming my way. 13. This is no grey area. Success is white and failure is black.

Life is an adventure, fun, entertaining and exciting. I have hope and faith for my/our success. 14. Nothing ever turns out the way I want it to.

This is not working out like I want, but I can stand it. For every door that closes a new one opens. 15. If the outcome is not perfect, it was a complete failure and I am a complete failure.

Nothing is perfect and I can stand it. I and the situation are okay. I can stand this!

16. I am in absolute control of my life. If something bad happens, it is my fault. I am not in control of all things at all times. It is what it is and I’m okay.
