13 - 17 February 2018

Turkish Open is granted as WT G1 as well.

4. Method of Competiton: Competition will be WT Rules. Single elimination tournament

5. WT Global Licence All participants must have a valid 2019 WT Global Licence in order to

participate at this event. Please contact your MNA or club admin to apply for

the WT Global Licence

6. Contest Time: i. Seniors: 2 minute x 3 rounds with 1 minute break

ii. Juniors and Cadets: 1,30 minute x 3 rounds with 1 minute break

(contest times could be adjusted according to WT TD Decisions)

SENIORS: An athlete must be born in 2002 or earlier (+17 years)

JUNIORS: Year of Birth (2002- 2004)

CADETS: Year of Birth (2005 - 2007)

NOTE: Whoever eligible for Junior and Senior category because of the age can only

participate in one category of tournament.

8. Protective Equipment & Uniform

The participants shall wear the WT recognized Taekwondo Uniform.

Daedo PSS will be used at this Tournament and will be provided by the OC.

All athletes must bring their own Daedo sensor socks.

Groin/Forearm/shin guards and Gloves are compulsory and must be brought by the

contestants.

Mouth piece is compulsory!(Only white or transparent)

Flexy glass head protector will be used for Cadet categories.

9. Applications

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: AT LATEST 04th FEBRUARY 2018 18:00 Istanbul time

Entries after deadline will not be accepted. Entries will stop when we reach 2500 players

IMPORTANT: If the athlete registered online does not take part in the competition for some

reason, but he/she has not been removed from the list of participants before deadline (04 Feb 2018)

his/her team officially must fully (%100) pay his/her entry fee for the participation

10. Referees

Only International Referees will be accepted. An official invitation for the referees will be sent

to all Federations.

Referee meeting at 18:00, February 12 at Maritim Hotel Convention Center, the Official hotel

for the Referees.

11. Entry Fee For Kyorugi:

100.00 € (EURO) for each Contestant

Entry Fee should be paid in cash during to registration each category For all registered

participants must be paid. No refunds! Changes of category after the deadline are allowed -

Cost: 25€.

Coach Free entrance for 1 coach per 5 participants, Coaches must be at least 18 years old

and holder of ETU Coach licence

• Incomplete application forms or applications without entry fees are invalid and will be

sent back.

• Applications and payments shall be sent at the same time. Receipt of hotel

accommodations and applications shall be sent by e-mail.

• Payment must be done per team or club

• DAEDO Electronic Body Protectors will be provided by the OC, for all the competitors.

• Only WT approved equipment will be allowed to use in this tournament (even dobok etc.)

• Groin/forearm/shi guards and gloves are compulsory and must be brought by the

contestants.

• Mouth piece is compulsory ! ( White or transparent )

• All the players must bring their own full equipment except body protector.

• Only competitors and coaches have admittance to the field of play.

• Coaching is only allowed in sportswear.

• All coaches must be 18 years or older.






First Aid will be provided by the organization and is only to be used in case of an emergency.

12. Insurance

• The organisation and supervisor assume no responsibility for teams, any damages,

violence, loses and injures during the stay in Turkey.

• All contestants must bring their own documents and forms for any medical treatment in

Turkey. If not, this will have to be paid cash.

13. Classification of Results

Individual Awards

Medals will be awarded to the top four athletes in the respective classifications and weight

divisions of the pertinent championships:

1st PLACE: GOLD MEDAL & CERTIFICATE

2nd PLACE: SILVER MEDAL & CERTIFICATE

3rd PLACE: BRONZE MEDAL & CERTIFICATE

3rd PLACE: BRONZE MEDAL & CERTIFICATE

14.Head of Team Meeting & Drawing of Lots Session

FOR POOMSAE: The head of team meeting shall be conducted one (1) days prior to the start

of the championships that is February 16 2018, in the presence of OC the representatives of

the participating nations.

FOR KYOURGI: The head of team meeting and the drawing of lots session shall be

conducted one (1) days prior to the start of the championships that is February 12 2018, in

the presence of OC the representatives of the participating nations.

15. Weigh-in

Weigh-in of the contestants shall be completed the day before their scheduled competition

between 10:00 -12:00 hrs.

During the weigh-in, senior contestants shall wear under pants and female contestants shall

wear underpants and brassieres. However, contestants may weigh-in in the nude if they want

to do so. Cadet and junior athletes cannot be nude. Male contestants shall wear underpants

and female contestants shall wear underpants and brassieres.






16. Indemnities

The respective national taekwondo associations shall be responsible for ensuring that all

officials and participants are covered with effective insurance coverage.

Participants without proper participation entry forms and effective insurance coverage will

not be allowed to compete at the championships.

The Organizing Committee will acquire general insurance, at its own expenses, for all

participants of the tournament, including but not limited to contestants and staffs, in the

event of any injury and/or damages that may arise during the course of the championships.

17. Accommodation:

IMPORTANT: All teams participating in WTE Championships and G-ranking

tournaments in Europe Territory shall – mandatory - book their hotel rooms via Organizing

Committee, to whom decides to stay any unofficial hotel, they have to pay €100

administration fee per person for all officials and athletes to OC.
