KENTSEL DÖNÜŞÜMTürkiye'de inşaat sektörü 2010 yılında %18,3 ve 2011 yılında %11,3 gibi yüksek hızlarla büyüdükten sonra 2012 yılında sadece %0,6 büyüme göstermiş, ekonomik yavaşlamaya bağlı olarak inşaat sektörünün büyüme sektöründe de önemli bir yavaşlama ortaya çıkmıştır.2013 yılında ise inşaat sektörü %7,4 büyüme göstermiştir.2013 yılının ilk 9 ayında toplam konut satışı 862.651 olarak gerçekleşmiştir. 2012 yılının ilk dokuz ayındaki konut satışları 488.693 olmuştur. Artiş %76'dır.Konut satışlarının büyük iller ile birlikte diğer illerde de sürmekte olduğu görülmektedir. İstanbul, Ankara ve İzmir'deki konut satışları, Türkiye genelindeki konut satışlarının yaklaşık %40'ını oluştururken, diğer illerin payı %60'a ulaşmıştır.Büyük altyapı projelerinin başında kentsel dönüşüm projesi gelmektedir. Proje, önümüzdeki 20 yıllık dönemde yaklaşık 7 milyon konutun yıkılarak yenilenmesini öngörmektedir. Kentsel dönüşüm için 100-400 milyar USD arasında inşaat maliyeti öngörüleri yapılmaktadır. Dönüşümün en geniş ölçekte gerçekleşeceği il ise İstanbul olacaktır. İstanbul'daki 3,6 milyon konutun yarısının kentsel dönüşüm ile yenilenmesi öngörülmektedir.Fiili uygulama 5 Ekim 2012 tarihinde başlamıştır. İstanbul ve 35 ilde eşzamanlı kentsel dönüşüm çalışması başlatılmıştır. İkinci aşama, 6 Nisan 2013 tarihinde 12 ili kapsayan fiili uygulamalar ile başlatılmıştır.

The Turkish construction sector which fell to 16.1% in 2009 due to the global economic stagnation, showed an outstanding upgrowth of 18.3% in the year 2010.

In 2011 the growth in the sector decreased to 11.5% and continued its downturn to 0.6% in 2012.

In 2013 the sector grew up to 7.1%.
