Opportunities and ConstraintsOpportunities:
• Tucked into urban fabric the park may have a surprise element upon discovery
• Possibly a safe haven from the noisy urban environment
• There are clear sitelines of park from other corners of the intersection
• Visibility into the park from the street is good for security
• There is ample morning sunlight
• Building walls may be good opportunties for new murals
• Street trees provide mature canopy cover and habitat
• Well connected by public transportation Constraints:
• The playground has a relatively small footprint
• Traffi c noise due to proximity to street intersection
• Afternoon shade due to adjacent tall buildings
• Winds create unpleasant condidtions at times
• Street trees may block valuable morning light
• Perception of safety risk from street activity

RY HOW TO PLAY:
1. Consult the photo keys and select site furnishings and play structures you would like to see at Hyde & Turk Mini Park.
2. Select the corresponding cut-out with the matching number.
3. Place the cut-out on the board with the appropriate color background.
4. Cut-outs may touch at the dashed black lines but they may not overlap
5. Play Structure Cut-outs (purple background): • Must be placed only within the purple square. • May not overlap with the gold pathway background. 6. Site Furnishing Cut-outs (gold background): • May be placed entirely within the gold pathway. • May overlap the purple square • Must touch the gold pathway on at least one side. • May not overlap the green planting background
7. Continue placing all cut-outs that you want and that can fit within the board. You may trade out larger pieces for small er ones to fit more pieces in, if desired.
8. Once you are happy with the placement, tape down the cut-outs to the base.
