Turf Internship Program Job Description The Dallas Country Club Internship Program will provide great hands on experience in all as- pects of Golf Course Management. Interns will learn bentgrass management in a stressful south- ern environment, hand-watering and syringing of greens, irrigation maintenance, management roles, tournament preparation, equipment opera- tion, and much more. Interns will place a major focus on chemical and fertilizer applications and, by the end of their in- ternship, will have adequate knowledge in this area. This is a great opportunity for individuals to gain more knowledge and learn successful modes of operation for the golf course during stressful environments. Interns will also have monthly meetings with managers and superintendents to discuss goals, accomplishments, concerns or issues, etc. This internship is challenging but extremely reward- ing. It provides the opportunity for students with an interest in turf management to build strong relationships for their future careers, especially in Texas and the DFW area. DCC completed an extensive full golf course renovation in 2011, and built an incredible new clubhouse. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate plus overtime, as well as employee meals, clothing and golfing privileges. We are seeking hardworking, dedicated and passionate individuals for these positions. Job Description

The Dallas Country Club Internship Program will provide great hands on experience in all as-pects of Golf Course Management. Dallas Country Club

The Dallas Country Club is a private club founded in 1896, located in the community of Highland Park, TX on 115 acres a few miles north of downtown.

The golf course was renovated in 2010-2011 by John Fought in the design motif of the Golden Age of golf architecture, and more specifically, in a style consistent with the great Donald Ross. The golf course is an 18-hole layout with a 3-hole short game practice area. Turfgrass varieties include: Tyee/007 Bentgrass Greens, 419 Bermuda and Zorro Zoysiagrass Tees, 419 Bermudagrass Fairways and Roughs, Zorro Zoysiagrass collars and approaches. DCC is the oldest private club in Texas and one

of the most prestigious clubs in America (Platinum Club of America-Top 150 Country Clubs).
