OverviewFeaturing 17 million hours on more than 30 applicationssince its introduction in 1975, the M601 series turbopropengine has a proven record of durability, reliability andease of maintenance. Derived from this dependableplatform, the H80 is bringing advanced power to theturboprop landscape.
GEis incorporating sophisticated technologies into theH80 to elevate it to even higher levels of performance.Modern 3D aero design and advanced materials have beenintegrated into the compressor stages and turbine of theengine's gas generator. A blisk design, replacing individuallybladed compressor disks, has also been incorporated in theaxial compressor stages. Materials with higher temperaturecapabilities have been introduced into the turbine nozzleguide vanes of both the gas generator and power turbine.These technologies deliver more shaft horsepower, improveengine fuel efficiency and provide increased temperaturemargin, significantly enhancing hot-day takeoff performanceand high-altitude cruise speeds.
