LOCATION
It’s located in the middle of thehighland of Ecuador.
Its capital is Ambato. The province takes its name from the Tungurahua volcano, which is located within the boundaries of the provinces.

WEATHER:
Tungurahua is warm and dry.
There are some warm and cold fields, and others with their own caracteristics.
The average teperature is 15
celsious degrees.

RUTA DE LAS CASCADAS(ROUTE OF THE FALLS) Baños de Agua
Santa is refugee for more than 60 waterfalls, among which are: Pailón del Diablo, Manto de la Novia, Cabellera de la Virgen, San Jorge, Chamana, Machay, el Salto de Agoyán, del Placer, Inés María, etc.

They can be visited using different transportation means or by well-signaled walking trails. Some of the trails can be self-guided, but for some it is better to hire a guide.

Pailón del Diablo FALLS
The Pailón del Diablo falls are some of the most famous. It’s a good idea to visit them, they are near Baños.

Tungurahua VULCANO Tungurahua comes from quichua and means "Throat of Fire”
It is an active Strato volcano located in the cordillera Central of Ecuador. The volcano gives its name to the province of Tungurahua.
Volcanic activity restarted in 1999 and is ongoing as of 2010 with major eruptions on 16 August 2006, 6 February 2008, and 28 May 2010.
