Cords is proud to offer a full line of premium grade fittings
designed with laboratory and instrumentation applications in
mind. All premium grade fittings feature a barb moulded without
a parting line. No parting line ensures a leak-proof seal by
eliminating flash or mould mismatch in the moulding process.
Premium grade fittings are moulded from 100% virgin
material only and are carefully manufactured under controlled
conditions with new technology and inspected for even the
slightest quality defect.
These fittings have an easy-to-hold base and a barb 1.4 to
1.5 times larger (depending on size of fitting) than the tubing ID.
Once the single sharp barb is inserted into the tubing, a secure,
leak-proof seal is formed that can hold up to 125 P.S.I. without
the use of clamps or ties.
They come in Tube to Port Fittings, 90 degree Tube to Port,
Barbed Connectors, Barbed Reducing Connectors, Barbed
Tees, Barbed Reducing Tees, Barbed Elbows, etc.
Available in white nylon, natural polypropylene, natural Kynar
and clear polycarbonate.
Luer Fittings
Luer Valves
FEMALE
Full-thread female luers are designed to provide an even greater
sealing mechanism for quick-disconnect luer applications. The
full thread gives more sealing area for the connection and will
provide a virtually leak-proof seal up to 125 P.S.I. when used
with male luers that have a locking nut.
Full-thread female luers are available in natural nylon, natural
polypropylene and clear polycarbonate and come in a variety
of sizes and applications.
QUICK-DISCONNECT
Luer fittings have conical tapers moulded to ISO standards
that ensure compatibility with all luers moulded to the same
standard. With locking or non-locking characteristics, they can
be used in most any application and are pressure tested up to
125 P.S.I. They are stocked in nylon, polypropylene and clear
polycarbonate. The clear polycarbonate offers high-impact
strength with clear visibility for visual inspections.
Polycarbonate can be autoclaved and is FDA approved.
Made of nylon or clear polycarbonate, the quick-disconnect
swivel luer fittings offer a more secure lock than a standard luer
connection. The additon of the swivel luer lock assures that the
connection is strong and aids in the removal of the luer from the
connection. Simply twist the swivel nut counterclockwise and
the connection is disassembled. No need to twist the tubing or
rearrange downstream apparatus in order to accomodate the
luer connection. Allows for universal connections.

Manufactured in durable clear polycarbonate, featuring a
white high-density polyethylene handle, these 1-way stopcock
luer valves come with two ports with a 360o rotating handle that
will simply shut off flow when the “OFF” handle is rotated per-
pendicular with either port. This has the feature of rotating the
handle 90o in any direction to quickly change from ON to OFF or
from OFF to ON.
The 4-way stopcock luer valve has three ports with a 360o
rotating handle that will shut off flow when the “OFF” handle is
rotated in line with any port. The handle may also be rotated to
180o from the middle port to allow flow to all three ports.
They are available with locking male, slip male or threaded
female ports for easy, secure connections to standard luer appli-
cations. Our locking male port features a free-turning nut to
allow simple installation without rotating the body or the con-
necting line.

FLEXIBLE VINYL (PVC)DUROMETER 68 SHORE A
Plasticized from non-toxic, flexible
PVC, this tubing is resistant to a wide
range of chemicals. A good choice for
various piping problems where the use
of corrosive, pure or sensitive solutions
is involved. While not as strong or kink-
resistant as polyurethane tubing, this is
an excellent alternative choice if cost is
the determining factor.
Available in 12 sizes, from IDs of
1/16" up to 1/4" (some IDs have
different wall thicknesses to choose
from). They come in both 100-foot coils
and bulk reel lengths in natural (clear),
black, white, and in the following opaque
colours: blue, yellow, red and green.
(Note: all pigments are non-migratory.)
Vinyl tubing is also available in crystal
clear 70 durometer, in tube IDs of 1/16"
up to 2-1/2". Formulated of V-1 vinyl, it
fully meets FDA specifications for con-
tact with food and drugs for human con-
sumption.
POLYURETHANE DUROMETER 85 SHORE A
This polyether-based polyurethane
tubing shares the best properties of two
materials: it has the elongation and
recovery characteristics associated with
rubber and also offers the chemical
resistance of plastic. It demonstrates
superior resistance to kinking, abrasion,
tearing, hydrolysis, oxidation, ozone,
fungus and humidity. It’s an excellent
choice for flexibility, even in cold temper-
atures. Some of the typical uses for
polyurethane tubing are robotics, air
tools, vacuum equipment, medical and
lab applications and pressure measure-
ment apparatus.
Available in 12 sizes, from IDs of 1/16"
up to 1/4" (some IDs have different wall
thicknesses to choose from). They come
in both 100-foot coils and bulk reel
lengths in natural (clear), black, white,
and in the following opaque and trans-
parent colours: blue, yellow, red and
green. (Note: all pigments used are non-
migratory.)
POLYETHYLENE DUROMETER 55 SHORE D
Available in natural or UV-resistant
black extruded linear LDPE. Provides
excellent flexibility and low temperature
toughness. It comes in four sizes (IDs of
1/16", .170, 1/4", and 3/8") in 100-foot
coils or bulk reel lengths.
Other types of polyethylene tubing
available: instrument grade (in a variety
of colours), black flame-retardant and
black HDPE.
NYLON
The nylon tubing comes in two styles:
flexible and semi-rigid high strength. Both
are made of nylon 11 and come in either
black or white.
Flexible: Lightweight tubing with
extremely low level water absorption. Its
resistance to stress cracking far out-
weighs that of ordinary nylon tubing.
Thirteen tube IDs are available, from .093"
to .253".
Semi-rigid, high strength: This tubing
offers better chemical resistance than the
flexible nylon, has good resistance to high
ambient temperatures and low moisture
absorption. It contains no plasticizers. Its
high tensile strength gives it excellent
coupling retention in high pressure,
temperature and vibration situations.
Comes in eleven tube IDs, from .091"
to .350".
POLYPROPYLENE
Laboratory grade polypropylene tubing
comes in white or UV-resistant black. May
be used at higher temperatures and
working pressures than polyethylene.
Its resistance to environmental stress
cracking, hot water and hot corrosive
acids is excellent (it will last much longer
than nylon tubing in hot water service). It
has good resistance to vegetable oils, and
water absorption is less than .01%. Meets
FDA requirements for food contact. It is
available in seven tube IDs, from .080"
to .500".
