2009-2010 Teams

Trip costs for the teams include round-trip airfare, lodging (double room occupancy), meals, local transportation, interpreters and incidental land costs. Airfares are based on 2008 figures and are subject to change at any time. Applications (with deposit, which will be deducted from the total cost of the trip) should be sent in as soon as possible to ensure a spot on the team.

JULY July 13-24, 2009 (CLOSED) El Salvador II This team will be ministering to children at the only Christian school for the deaf in Central America, sharing with the children and encouraging the staff. There will also be opportunities to work in schools in rural, impoverished areas, sharing in the classes, doing activities with the children, and ministering to the staffs. We will also meet with key leaders in San Salvador to learn about various ministry outreaches and participate in prayer ministry.

July 25 – August 1, 2009 (CLOSED) Guatemala I This team will do outreach ministry in Palencia, a community outside of Guatemala City through, VBS, Bible studies, sports ministry and medical clinics, and encouraging national believers. We will be ministering to the women, children, and men in this community. There will be opportunities to share with the pastors there as well.

July 22 – August 7, 2009 Hope Center Camp III - Ukraine This team will work with the Hope Center camp for orphaned and behaviorally-challenged children in a typical summer camp, five minutes from the Black Sea. Daily camp activities with the children will include any/all of the following: team sports, swimming, nature walks/hikes, Bible studies/daily devotions, age-appropriate crafts, group meals, music, singing, drama, cultural dancing, evening bonfires and friendly team competitions. There will also be sightseeing in Crimea and Kiev.

AUGUST July 31-August 14, 2009 (CLOSED) Kenya camp and Burundi ministry This team will be working with teenagers from the Kibera slums in Nairobi at week-long camp. Week two will be visiting our Burundi partners with the genocide and HIV/AIDS widows and young men.

Opportunities for practical work will also be available, joining hands with a team of Indian Christians.

October 18 – 29, 2009 India Vision Trip Come and observe what God is doing in India! This team will experience several leadership sessions for younger leaders, see God’s work in the slums of Kolkata and Delhi and visit India Hope Center. You will be guided by the president of Global Action, Lars Dunberg. Travel across India will be by air and staying in good, moderate hotels.
