STOP LAMP Z01 DIODE INSPECTION PROCEDURE
This bu lletin supercedes TSB 09-BR-002. In this bulletin, there is a TSB group changefrom Brake System (BR) to Body Electrical System (BE).
DESCRIPTION:
Some Genesis (Sedan BH) vehicles may experience the stop lamps blinking on and off evenwhen the brakes are not applied. If the Z01 diode is suspected as the cause of the stop lamp
malfunction, the Z01 diode must be inspected according to the procedure below. If there is notrouble with the Z01 diode after inspection, carry out other necessary repairs and DO NOTreplace the Z01 diode.

3. Measure the voltage across the Z01diode in the car by probing from back of
the connector and check if the readingis between 0.5V and 0.7V.
- Normal vol tage range: 0.5V~0.7VIf the voltage is beyond the specified range, the Z01 diode must be replaced. Once aZ01 diode is replaced, make sure the diodeis securely connected and all wires arecovered appropriately.
