Sweet T’s One Man Caravan - Electronic Press Kit

Sweet T’s One Man Caravan is a unique Central Coast act conceived and prepared by 36 year Santa Maria resident, Terry Lawless. It is the biggest sounding and most entertaining solo act in Central California.

Terry is a professional musician, working the last few decades with the royalty of the music business. He is currently on a break from his two decade stint with Irish pop/rock band, U2. His past tours include Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Bonnie Raitt, both Michael andJanet Jackson, Phil Collins, the Doobie Brothers, P!NK, Don Henley, Barry Manilow, Cher, Foreigner, Chicago, and many, many more. He has mastered many instruments that he brings to his show, including keyboards, saxophones, flute, accordion, and electronic wind instruments. Members of his audience continue to ask which is his main axe.

The One Man Caravan is an act that Terry has been working on and performing for about 7 years. The Caravan’s repertoire is easily much bigger than that of any other Central Coast act. His 2200+ song catalogue includes easy listening instrumentals, country line dances, groovy Stax and Motown R&B classics, pop and rock standards, and modern radio hits. His broad vocal range reproduces everything from the velvety voice of Barry White to the pop hypnotics of Jim Morrison and the Doors to the high octave pleas of Hall and Oates. This huge library insures that Terry can read any crowd and perform to his audience accordingly. He prides himself in doing all those great tunes that everyone loves, but never get to hear from other local bands.

Multi instrumentalist - Terry performs on keyboards, saxophones, flute, accordion and vocals.

The music is non stop. The Caravan doesn’t take any breaks unless instructed to do so. The energy stays up, the music flows. The dancing never stops.

Small footprint with low power draw - huge repertoire - a unique collection of instruments you don’t see often enough, playing the songs that you wait in your car until they finish before you shut off your favorite radio station and get out. Totally pro with no bad habits, and promptness is understood.

Sweet T’s One Man Caravan is completely self contained with full sound and light systems (as necessary), as well as staging and/or generators (as necessary). Please consider Sweet T’s One Man Caravan for your entertainment needs.

Technical Information with Stage Plot

Generally speaking, the normal stage show requires a flat, clean area that is 10 feet wide and 6 feet deep. One 20 amp electrical service at the back of this area will power the entire show. No walkway is permitted through the stage area. If lights are not required the width can move in considerably. Of course, custom shows and house parties can be negotiated.
