2" fallbac# function and "M" delivery via the 2" core networ# is reali!ed by reusin Gs interface mechanisms asdefined in 3GPP T" *@.+,? J,=K on the interface between the MM in the P" and the :60. This interface is called"Gs interface.

'OTH Eithin this specification the term :60 refers to M"2:60 or M"2 "erver:60.

The "Gs interface connects the databases in the :60 and the MM. The procedures described in the present documentare used to co<ordinate the location information of 4s that are &M"& attached to both P" and non<P" services. The"Gs interface is also used to convey some circuit switched related procedures via the MM.

The basis for the interwor#in between a :60 and an MM is the eistence of a "Gs association between those entities per 4. The "Gs association is applicable to 4s which are confiured to use 2" fallbac# and "M" over "Gs or "M"over "Gs only. The "Gs association is not applicable if the subscriber data indicates that the subscription is for pac#etonly. The "Gs association is also not applicable if the MM is reistered for "M" for the 4 as specified in3GPP T" *3.*>* J>K.
