Types of Reports

The TS-1001 and TS-2001 Tank Sentinel can produce many types of reports. Thereports can be printed or faxed manually from the keypad, or can be programmedto print or fax automatically when certain events occur (for example an alarm), orcan be printed or faxed on a set schedule . Reports provide useful informationthat help run the business more efficiently. In addition, regulatory compliancereports provide proof of compliance along with an operational status of thesystem. Alarm reports also provide useful data about the system, tank or sensorfaults, or line leak detector faults, or detected leaks from product lines or storagetanks.

Product or Tank Inventory: Detail, or Summary Reports

Product Delivery: Detail, Summary, or History Reports

Product Usage: Detail, Summary, or Reconcile Reports

Test: Estimate Report (time to complete a leak test for a specific tank) ortank leak Test Report (reports standard / static tank leak tests only)Line leak test Reports, which are: Compliance , Test , History , or

Diagnostic Line Test ReportsSCALD Statistical Continuous Automatic Leak Detection Test Report

Sensor: Sensor Status Report of all sensors, or Vapor Sensor Report

Alarm: Active – Cleared – History Reports of any System – Tank – Sensor –Line – or All alarms. Automatic Alarm Reports (print out real-time).

Setup: System configuration Report, or Tank configuration Report for any orALL tanks

Regulatory: Compliance Reports ...show: Hardware Status, Probes, Sensors, Aux.Inputs and Leak Tests (tank, SCALD and line leak tests)

NOTE: The reports are shown on the following pages are examples ofreports as they would be printed or faxed from the system console. FAXcapability depends entirely on installation, and setup/enabling of theoptional FAX / Modem.

Sample Reports:

The sample Alarm Reports , shown at left, printout automatically whenalarms or faults occur. The default setup enables automatic printing ofALARMS, LEAKS, SCALD, LINES, or generator runs.

Typical Information Shown On Reports

REPORT HEADER is printed first and shows the site name, address, andnumber

REPORT DATE & TIME when the report was printedREPORT NAME is shown next and identifies the type of report that it isALARM DATE & TIME is shown before the body of each alarm report.REPORT BODY follows the report name and shows the unique data for

that type of report. For example, delivery data is shown on DeliveryReports, and tank setup data is shown on Tank Setup Reports.

Below-left, several alarms occurred at the same time. An automatic alarmreport printed several hours later after a new roll of printer paper wasinstalled.

Note that the print date and alarm dates are differentand that a PRINTER OUT OF PAPER alarm message is shown. This isthe reason WHY the alarm reports did not immediately printout.

See the TS-1001 / TS-2001 Quick Reference Guide about how to print orfax reports. The Setup Programming Guide contains information aboutscheduling reports and programming the data/fax modem.

Product Usage DetailREPORT

Shows the Gross and Net inventory,Days Supply remaining, Ullage to fillthe tank to capacity, and Last Usage.Usage per Day, Week and Monthare also detailed for the selectedproduct.

Note:

Combined values are shownwhen a manifold physicallyconnects two or more tanks.

When insufficient data is availablefor the report, LAST USAGE willshow REJECTED.

Product UsageSummary REPORT

The Average Daily Usage of productsby product type are shown in grossvolume units (gallons are shownthroughout this document).

Note that the Inventory Reconciliationreport must be scheduled andprogrammed with a begin and endtime before the report can begenerated.

The report below (lower centercolumn), which shows NO DATA, isproduced the first time that a tankInventory Reconciliation report isgenerated.

Usage Reconcile(Inventory

Reconciliation) REPORT

This report (at right ) balancesinventory based on starting inventory, ending inventory, and deliveries. Thereport shows all data for a Tankincluding the Product Name, TankCapacity, Tank Name, beginning Timeand Tank conditions before (BEGINvalues) and after (END values). Thereport also shows usage, which can beused to check (reconcile) against meterreadings.

(Tank Test) LeakEstimate REPORT

Shows the estimated amount of timeto complete a Standard (Static) TankLeak Test . Estimates are based onthe tank size and type, and conditionswithin the tank. Changing producttemperature caused by a recentdelivery, or surface ripples anddisturbances from a recent dispenseor delivery will affect leak tests andpossible give false results (increase, fail / leaks).

This report can also be printed duringa leak test to show the remaining timeto finish.

(Standard – Static Tank)Leak Test REPORT

The leak test report (at right ) providesa list of tank conditions at the beginningand end of the leak test. This data is:

1) Date & Time that the report wasproduced

2) Tank Name, volume Capacity, and Product Name

3) Leak Test Precision & Threshold

4) Test Confidence Level

5) The test START Time and Date

6) The Gross Capacity / percent fullvalue in the tank

7) BEGIN values at start of test

8) The test-END (finish) Time andDate, and

9) The values at END of the test

10) Hourly data

11) Slope, Slope Low and Slope High

12) Test Results ( Increase, Passed,Failed, or Indeterminate )

Note:

This report will print automaticallyat the end of a leak test i f ReportLeak is left Enabled in SystemSetup.

SCALD (Tank Leak)Test REPORT

SCALD is an acronym for StatisticalContinuous Automatic Leak Detection. This is a special tank leak test that isused where dispensing can occur 24hours a day. SCALD enables leaktesting between product dispenses. The 0.20 gph Monthly Compliance Testis the standard test for SCALD. Shownon the report is:

1) Date and time that the report wasproduced

2) Tank Name, volume Capacity, and Product Name

3) Extent of time (minimum) betweendispenses for statistical datacollection

4) Volume Qualify is the minimumpercent full before SCALD testswill run

5) The test STARTED (start) timeand date

6) The Sales Rate (product usagerate)

7) Evaporated (calculated) this linewill not appear when the site hasStage II Vapor Recovery.

Slope DiagramLeak Test Results

See the diagram (below) and the: LeakThreshold value, Slope value, and theTest Result line in any tank Leak TestReport. Slopes more negative thanthe threshold value are reported asFailed, and those positive are reportedas Increase.

S a m p l e T e s t R e p o r t s

8) Lost (–) amount of product lostout of the vent stack throughevaporation.

9) Duty Factor is the ratio of Extentto Total test time (start to update).

10) Updated is the time and date ofthe most recently completedSCALD leak test.

11) Slope is the (+/–) rate of changein product volume. It is thecalculated leak rate and is usedto determine the Test Result.

12) Test Results are either:Increase, Passed or Failed.

Note:

This report will print automaticallywhen a new SCALD leak test isavailable i f Report SCALD is leftEnabled in System Setup.
