Trusted Cloud – label and platform build up trust
• The Trusted Cloud label is awarded to trustworthy
cloud services which meet the minimum
requirements with regard to transparency, security,
quality and legal compliance.
• A new directory is provided which includes providers
of cloud-related services, such as training, advisory,
and integration.
• On the online portal www.trusted-cloud.de, all
labeled services are listed and orientational
knowledge for users is provided.
• The project is under patronage of the German Federal
Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
• The Kompetenznetzwerk Trusted Cloud e.V.
association is responsible for the Trusted Cloud label.
• The independent Trusted Cloud Advisory Board is
responsible for the decision to award the label.

To obtain the Trusted Cloud label, cloud operators need to go through an application and audit process
• Following the process, the service is listed on www.trusted-cloud.de ...
• ... and the service provider is able to use the label for its certified service.
• After three years, service providers must apply for an extension.
• The listing is renewed after the three-year period on basis of the current version of the
criteria catalogue.
• Changes on part of the cloud provider during the three-year period must be reported
proactively.
