Principal’s Report
PSSA Finals
Friday saw two of our PSSA teams playing in the
Grand Final, a very impressive result for a small
school. Both our netball and soccer teams were
victorious. Congratulations on a very impressive
season.
NAPLAN
Students in years 3 and 5 will receive their NAPLAN
results today. The National Assessment Program –
Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual
assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9.
The assessments are undertaken nationwide.
Our school results will be available on the My
School website later in the year.
Zone Athletics
Tuesday sees a large contingent of our students
representing our school at the Zone Athletics
carnival.
The carnival is being held at Homebush and we
wish them well.
Enrolments 2017
Enrolments are now being taken for Kindergarten
2017. Children who will be turning 5 years old on or
before 31st July, 2017 are eligible for enrolment.
If you are intending to enrol your child, or know of
children in the local area, who are intending to
enrol at Truscott Street next year, could you please
contact the office for an enrolment form.

School News
Summer PSSA
Congratulations to all teams who competed in the
winter PSSA competitions. Summer sports including
cricket, Tee Ball and softball games will start up
again in week 7 (Friday 2nd September). Cricket
training will commence on Friday 2nd September at
8.15am and Tee ball and softball training will
commence on Thursday 1st September at 8.30am.
Soccer
Well done to all soccer players on a great season.
A special congratulations to the senior soccer team
for winning the premiership. Throughout the season
both teams demonstrated fantastic soccer skills,
teamwork and determination. A reminder that all
soccer team members need to return their jerseys
to the office ASAP.
Thank you very much for a wonderful season and a
special thanks to all the parents who have dropped
their children off for training or cheered on the
teams from the sideline.
I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching both teams and
taking them to PSSA each Friday.

Northcott Athletics Carnival
On Thursday 11th August the students in the
Support Unit went to the Northcott Athletics
Carnival. They participated in a range of events and
had a great day. Thank you to the parents and
grandparents for coming along to cheer on the
students.
A very big thank you to our Year 6 helpers who
helped the students on the day Holly, Mia, Zac and
Nathan.

I had fun at the carnival. My favourite event was

I went in some running races and I ran very fast.
I had to put the bean bags in the hoop and run to
the finish line. I liked the sausage sizzle that I had
for lunch.
