TRANSCRIPT

True to genres such as rock, punk, garage or psychedelia, CIUDAD OASIS fulfills the goal of providing support and promotion to the independent musical circuit.

Working indistinctly as a record label, management agency or promoter, CIUDAD OASIS dedicates its resources to support projects that, even if they are far from the mass media, they contribute significantly to improve the musical offer in venues and festivals.

CIUDAD OASIS is the home of No Crafts, Kings Of The Beach, Radio Palmer, Los Ramblings, Marklenders and DeLarge.

KINGS OF THE BEACH was born in Vigo in the summer of 2013 with Adrián Rodríguez (guitar, voice), Yago Guirado (bass, vocals) and Samuel Otero (drums). At the beginning of 2015 they published their first demo tape, ‘Badass’, hitting hard in the Galician scene. A year later, in February of 2016, they published their first EP, ‘Bat Pussy’, obtaining national and international repercussion and causing a good impression in media like Radio 3 or MondoSonoro, among others.

The sound of KINGS OF THE BEACH can be defined as wild, beachy and fast, like a slap in the face. Compared to Together Pangea, Jacuzzi Boys or even FIDLAR, they can brag about their “fast, sweaty and kick-ass” live shows.

They play at importat festvial as SXSW, Atlantic Fest, O Marisquiño and they were finalist at 30 Concurso Internacional de Bandas Villa de Bilbao, the most important music contest for underground music. The have also shared stage with national and international bands as The Gories, Sexy Zebras, White Fang and Metz.

“Super Awkward, Fucking Awesome” (CIUDAD OASIS, 2018) is the first reference published at the same time in vinyl and cassette by CIUDAD OASIS. Recorded in Gamma Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright of Audiosege (Portland), the album is presented as a mix of garage punk rock, sometimes melodic, almost always frantic.

Ten perfect tracks with their own personality that make a solid LP from the surf of “Eat Snot” to “Goats” stopping by “Wasted / Young”, a song that has pressed the magic key that turns the excellent songs into generational hymns. If “Super Awkward, Fucking Awesome” seems like a good LP - which it is - you must not miss in on live ...

Super Awkward,

Fucking Awesome

“Adrenalina. Sudor. Caos. Diversión. Energía. Desmadre.

Diego Nistal, Segundopremio
