The purpose of cultural comprehension is to assist students to understand their uniqueness. This requires a series of assessments (informal/formal) to collect personal data on self-perception, self-esteem, and self-concept.
Data collected from these assessments can be used to introduce counseling lessons or secure enrichment opportunities that can provide cultural clarification
