RE: MAPA's 62ND Annual Meeting Attendees Forms [10 Pages Total]
Make plans now to attend MAPA's 62nd Annual Meeting beginning with the Paving Awards
Banquet the evening of Dec. 9th and continuing on Dec. 10th and 11th at the DoubleTree
by Hilton Hotel in St. Louis Park, MN. Our Annual Meeting offers opportunities for
networking, supporting MAPA, promoting asphalt, gaining insights on the economy, andtime to socialize with your peers. We have included some dynamic and informative
speakers in the program again this year including updates from the National Asphalt PavementAssociation, Joe Schmit (KSTP Sports Anchor and Motivational Speaker) will discuss influencingthrough purpose, persistence and passion, TomHuuser (KSTP Chief Political Reporter) will discussthe upcoming legislative session, and more - refer to the attached Agenda for further details.
Once again we sent a survey to the membership to see what changes they would like tohave made in the agenda. We will continue to ask MAPA Committee Co-Chairs to give
updates at the Thursday morning Business meeting. Attendees can visit the Hospitality
Suites for a "Taste ofMAPA" competition that starts at lunch and goes through part of the
afternoon, and we will keep the schedule moved up for Thursday afternoon events. New
this year, The Johnny Holm Band will play in the nearby Terrance Ballroom after theAuction!
REGISTRATION:Registration materials are enclosed. NOTE: Early registration fee is $270. After November
25, it will be $320. Also, make your hotel reservations at the DoubleTree Hotel now so you
can take advantage of the conference group rate which may not be available after
November 25th. After this date, reservations will be accepted on a rate and space available
basis. Call the DoubleTree at 1-800-245-9190 for reservations and mention you are

attendees of the Auction will get to vote for their favorite! Attendees that have their
Hospitality Suite Bingo Card completely filled out can enter a drawing for a fabulous prize!
The Silent Auction opens Thursday evening in the Park Ballroom at 4:30 pm and closes at
6:00 pm [donation form and item suggestion list enclosed). A delicious dinner buffet will beavailable from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm. The Live Auction will begin after dinner andconclude with prize drawings. As in past years, donations are appreciated and critical to
the success of the Auctions. All proceeds from the Sponsorship and Auction programs will
be used to support the promotion of plant produced bituminous materials technology and
political support activities.
There will be time for social activities with the Hospitality rooms reopening after the
conclusion of the Live Auction or attendees move to the Terrace rooms to hear The Johnny
Holms Band perform.
SPOUSE PROGRAM (Dec. 9-11):Due to popular demand, the Spouse Program will include lunch, wine and painting at the
"Brush Studios" in the West End [their web site is BrushStudio.net). A professional artist
will teach the group how to paint a new, beautiful picture. Even the most novice painter is
surprised at their talent!
We hope to see you all there!
