oTroy comes from a racing family. His father, Charles is a national motocross champion (1979 and 1981). He raced in the international youth meeting at Trentham gardens in 1983, where he qualified for the main event. In 2005 he started road racing in the Superbike bike class. In 2006 he did his first national superbike championship and finished tenth. This is where Troy showed his affinity for motorcycle racing.
Troy's grandfather, Neville Riddell, competed in the Isle Of Man on a side car being the only South African to have done this. His uncle's Neil and Tony Riddell have also won multiple South African Championships for motocross.
Besides from having racing in his blood, Troy has also received professional training.

2014Troy has qualified to race in the British Superbike (BSB) series in
2014. BSB has a huge following of fans who follow the championship around the UK, and that is a testament to the teams and riders who push themselves and their bikes to the limit, whilst never forgetting that they're racing to entertain the massive crowds at the circuits.
