TROPICAL IMPRESIONISM / RICHARD STOCKER

Richard Stocker is a multifaceted artist.

He is a professional photographer, a poet

and a painter.

While he works with a controlled black line

in his designs for coloring therapy he lets go

himself loose on his paintings.

Splashes of colors, burst of colored lights,

and sort of wild rhythmic gestures create a

characteristic energetic playful atmosphere

always full of joy and vivacity.

He says about his work:

“Having been a photographer and in the

healing arts has given me the eye to observe

the fluid changes of movement and color.”

His paintings will touch the child still

within you.

I moved back to Costa Rica and begin painting at age 60.

I entitle my work “ Tropical Impresionism”The freedom of movement on cavas relates to the freedom of body expression.

It is a Dance.

Having been a photographer and in the healing arts has given me the eye to observe the fluid changes of movement and color.
