Follow all applicable directions, restrictions, and precautions on the EPA registered label. This labeling must be in the possession of the user at the time of pesticide application. For use under the SLN label do not apply through any type of irrigation system. CROP Apples, Crabapples, Pears, Ornamental Plants and Trees, and non-bearing fruit and nut trees (Non-bearing crops are perennial crops that will not produce a harvestable raw agricultural commodity for 365 days after application). PESTS CONTROLLED Apple Maggot USE RATE 12.5 – 25.3 fl. oz. of TriStar 8.5 SL Insecticide per 100 gallons of finished spray. Use the high rate under heavy pest pressure. Product can be applied with water volume needed to provide thorough coverage. METHOD OF APPLICATION Applications should be started within 10 days after the first flies are detected on traps placed in host trees. Mix TriStar 8.5 SL Insecticide with sufficient water and apply as a foliar spray to obtain thorough and uniform spray coverage of the plants. Applications should be repeated every 14 days as long as flies are still being detected in traps and in accordance with local and state spray programs but not to exceed 4 times per calendar year. RESTRICTIONS Do not make more than 4 applications per calendar year. Do not apply more than once every 12 days. Do not apply more than 92.5 ounces of TriStar 8.5 SL Insecticide per acre (0.55 lb ai/A) per calendar year. Do not apply within 7 days of harvest (7 day PHI).

This product is toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment. Do not apply this product while bees are actively foraging within the treated area.

This product is toxic to wildlife. Do not apply directly to water or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwater or rinsate. Do not contaminate water used for irrigation or domestic purposes.

WSDA CONTAINER DISPOSAL GUIDANCE

Completely empty the contents of the pesticide container into application equipment, and apply to a labeled crop or site. The empty container may be disposed of in a sanitary landfill. Burning is not a legal method of container disposal in Washington.

No. WA-110010 The Washington State Department of Agriculture issued a revised label for Washington Special Local Need (SLN) registration number WA-110010 to Nippon Soda Co., Ltd (Nisso America Inc.) for use of TriStar 8.5 SL Insecticide (EPA Reg. No. 8033-106) on apples, crabapples, pears, ornamental plants and trees, and non-bearing fruit and nut trees in non-agricultural quarantine and pest free areas (including residential areas) under order for control of apple maggot, Rhagoletis pomonella (Walsh), as specified under WAC 16-470 in response to a request from EPA (dated March 9, 2017).

Revisions to this SLN label includes the following changes:

• The expiration date statement was moved to the front page. • The end of the sentence under the header “CROP” was revised to read “…raw agricultural

commodity for 365 days after application”. • The statement “per year” rates were revised to “per calendar year”.
