They are mainly made of sandstone and quartzite and it’s name comes from the Pemon’s language, who are the habitants of the area, and which means “Mountain”.

These mountains have a special meaning in the culture of the area residents who consider them the home of their gods and are the source of many legends.

KUKENÁN

ACOPÁN

SARISARIÑAMA

Kukenan is the neighbour Tepuy of Roraima, know as Matawi too. The Access is restricted and the ascent is more tecnical than Roraima. From it’s top, fall the second highest waterfall in Venezuela, but is not permanent all year long, it stops in dry season. We can find a lot of curious formations and incredibles landscapes.

Belongs to Chimanta Masiff and better know by the lasts climbs in its walls, we can reach the top, making a really interesting trek, that could be an unique experience, because is a really unvisited mountain and that let us live an amazing expirience.

Located on the southeast of the Bolivar State, it’s main atraction is the presence of two big holes, wich are really circular shaped. That be a mistery to scientists. Located totally isolated of the rest of the others tepuys and have a really intrincate access. We have to options to get here, the first one and the most challenging is to visit and explore the holes; and the second one is to visit the top of the mountain by and interesting trek on the south face of the mountain, close to the Yecuana communuity of Kanarakuni.
