One: Around the well of your grace, O God, are those who thirst for friendship and loveAll: Help us to offer them the living water of community and connectedness. One: Around the well of your life, O God, are those who thirst for joy and safety; All: Help us to offer them the living water of playfulness and protection. One: Around the well of your mercy, O God,

are those who thirst for wholeness and peace; All: Help us to offer them the living water of comfort, healing and welcome. One: Around the well of your presence, O God,

with all who have too little or too much, with all who are wounded or ashamed and, through us, may this corner of the world overflow with your living water. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

ORDINATION AND INSTALLATION OF ELDERS

LITANY OF ORDINATIONOne: There are different giftsAll: But it is the same Spirit who gives them. One: There are different ways of serving GodAll: But it is the same Lord who is served. One: God works through different people in different waysAll: But it is the same God who achieves God’s purposes through them all. One: Each one is given a gift by the SpiritAll: To use it for the common good. One: Together we are the body of ChristAll: And individually members of him. One: Though we have different gifts, together we are a ministry of reconciliation led by the risen Christ. We work and pray to make

Christ’s church useful in the world, and we call women and men to faith to the glory of God. Within our common ministry, some members are chosen for particular work as ruling elders. In ordination, we recognize this special ministry, remembering that Jesus said: “Whoever among you wants to be great must become the servant of all.”All: Just as Jesus came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life to

set others free.

ANTHEM - Together We Serve Daniel Charles DamonTogether we serve, united by love, inviting God’s world to the glorious feast. We work and we pray through sorrow and joy, extending God’s love to the last and the least.

We seek to become a beacon of hope, a lamp for the heart and a light for the feet.We learn, year by year, to let love shine through until we see Christ in each person we meet.

We welcome the scarred, the wealthy, the poor, the busy, the lonely, and all who need care.We offer a home to those who will come, our hands quick to help, our hearts ready to dare.

Together, by grace, we witness and work, remembering Jesus, in whom we grow strong.Together we serve in Spirit and truth, remembering love is the strength of our song.

HYMNAL FUND. The Presbyterian Church has published a new hymnal that Cindy, our Music Minister, finds to be a wonderful addition to her hymnal shelf. The Worship Committee, with the permission of Session, has decided to put together a fundraiser to purchase enough of the “Glory To God” hymnals for the sanctuary and the chapel (about 300). Everyone should have received a letter outlining this fundraiser this week at home. Each hymnal costs $21.00 and you are encouraged to gift a hymnal to the church. (You also can purchase your own copy if you would like.) Bookplates are available to put in the hymnals if you would like to honor someone’s memory with your gift. The hope is to have these wonderful song books installed by June and the Worship Committee is hoping that we can get most of the gifts in near Easter. Please send your order sheet (some available in the Narthex) with your payment to the church business office or put into the collection plate on a Sunday morning.

LENTEN BOOK STUDY – Join us on any or all the Tuesday evenings in Lent when we gather at one another’s living rooms and share spiritual wisdom.
