Best Practices for Worshiping at Home

PrayAsk the Lord to use the service, and especially his Word, to help us to grow in knowledge and love for him and our neighbors.

ParticipateTake part in each aspect of the worship service. Sing, pray, read God’s Word, hear God’s Word preached. God’s people are the Church even when they are not physically present in the building. Reflect on the fact that your brothers and sisters in Christ from TPC (and globally) are worshiping together even when they are not in the same physical location.

PracticeEngage with your brothers and sisters in Christ (those in your home or in our wider church family) about how you intend to apply God’s Word into your life. You can do this via conversations in your homes, on the phone, via email or Zoom.

Our gracious and merciful Father in heaven, we come before you and confess our sins. We admit that we often add and take away from your Word. We do this by making idols in our hearts, and loving other things more than we love and serve you. We do not watch ourselves carefully. And so we sin against you by failing to do what you command, and by doing that which you forbid. Please forgive us. Give us hearts that are eager to answer your call to come to you, repent of our sins, believe the gospel of grace, and live like who you’ve called us to be.
