Good Morning! We're glad to have you with us today. As you wait for the service to begin, ask the Holy Spirit to prepare your heart for worship; during the service, humble yourself to receive His Word; after the service, go forth to share His Word with others with great joy!

The Lord’s Supper is scheduled to be served on the 1st Sunday morning and the 3rd Sunday evening of

Welcome & Church Family Focus Hearing assistance devices are available, see ushers.
Trinity encourages families to worship together even from the youngest of ages. We make available
a glassed in “cry room” if parents would like to use it for infants and as they train young children in worship. Nursery and Jr. Church are options for those who desire to use them.
A Nursery is available for infants through 3 years in Room 101 & Room 103.
Parents, please pick up your children immediately after the worship service.
God’s Word Directs Our Life & Worship
Psalm 119:81-88 My soul longs for your salvation; I hope in your word. My eyes long for your promise;
I ask, “When will you comfort me?” For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke,
yet I have not forgotten your statutes. How long must your servant endure? When will
you judge those who persecute me? The insolent have dug pitfalls for me; they do not
live according to your law. All your commandments are sure; they persecute me with
falsehood; help me! They have almost made an end of me on earth, but I have not
forsaken your precepts. In your steadfast love give me life, that I may keep the
testimonies of your mouth.

*God’s People Ask for God’s Blessing (Invocation) *God’s People Profess Their Faith The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy
Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified,
died, and was buried; He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the
dead. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father
Almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
*Gloria Patri Henry W. Greatorex
Shorter Catechism Q & A #37 see Bulletin Pg. 15-18 for Daily Study Guide
37. Q. What benefits do believers receive from Christ at death?
A: The souls of believers are at their death made perfect in holiness, and do
immediately pass into glory; and their bodies, being still united in Christ, do rest
in their graves, until the resurrection.
Facing Up to Our Sin Before God
God Instructs His People in His Standards Colossians 3:12-14 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness,
humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint
against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must
forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect
harmony.

A vital part of Trinity’s community life and spiritual growth are our
small groups. These meet during the school year and are known as
Shepherd Group Communities. A Shepherd Group Community
meets on various nights of the week with a SGC Leader at least
twice per month to grow in the grace & knowledge of Jesus Christ
and in love for one another. Together they praise God, ponder
the Scriptures, pray for one another & Kingdom concerns,
and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ
to each other and the world.
If you’re interested in joining one of these groups, stay tuned for
updates throughout the summer.

for both timeslots, please indicate in order of your priority.

even just a picnic at an area park. This week's Dinner and Discussion Meeting will be on
Tuesday, August 14th at 7:00pm at the International House. Please contact Holly Lankford to

Shepherd Group Communities @ Trinity PCA
Trinity is looking for Shepherd Group Community
Leaders & Host Families
Are you wondering how you might use your gifts to help facilitate the
gospel outreach of Trinity PCA? One way might be to help strengthen and
expand our small groups. To be ready to reach more people for Jesus and to
integrate them into the life of Trinity PCA, we need additional Shepherd
Group Communities prepared to welcome new attenders.
To achieve this goal we will need to train additional SGC Leaders and find
additional host families for the new groups. Is this a way that you can use
your gifts at Trinity?
The Qualifications for a Shepherd Group Community Leader:
Shepherd Group Community Leaders (SGCLs) are approved men who lead
a small part of the Trinity community in spiritual growth and the Christian
life. SGCLs are frontline ministers of pastoral care (non-ordained). As such,
A SGCL has a great opportunity to minister to the body of Christ. Because
of this, we require that SGCLs be men of God (1 Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:6-
9); familiar with the Westminster Standards; active members of Trinity
(time, finances, heart); committed to shepherding and prayer; concerned
about outreach; solid family members (1 Timothy 3:5 – but not required
to be married); able to commit one year (minimum) to Shepherd Group
Community leadership; and are to be approved by Session.
Would you like to explore this possibility?
Please talk to Mike Wolcott,
or call the church office at 717-545-4271

Membership Has Its Privileges!
Are you interested in pursuing becoming a member of Trinity? The Session of Trinity Presbyterian Church believes it is a Biblical Principle that Christians should formally affiliate themselves with a local congregation. At Trinity this is done through becoming a “communing member” of our church. This membership brings privileges and responsibilities. Each Spring and Fall the Session provides opportunities for people to explore becoming a member. There is also a “communicant’s class” at the beginning of each calendar year to help prepare young people to join the church. A class to introduce Trinity to potential new members will be held during the Sunday School time, beginning September 9th. It will continue on Sunday mornings throughout the Fall. During these classes, potential new members will hear a summary of the Gospel that Trinity proclaims; review the questions that must be answered in the affirmative in order to become a member; meet the Pastors and other church officers; learn about our Missions program and various other opportunities to serve; receive books and booklets to introduce you to Trinity’s beliefs; receive information on Financial policies, Child Protection policies, and Darkness to Light training; and much more. These classes will introduce new people to our church’s beliefs and government. It will explain what we believe that members must affirm and what we believe that members don’t have to affirm, but which our officers must believe. These classes will be led by Pastor Eickelberg, along with the other pastors and Ruling Elders at Trinity and various other leaders of the congregational ministries. This class would be for all those older teenagers and adults interested in membership. If you are interested in attending, please contact the church office.
