TRINITY OAKS

YEAR IN REVIEW

Thanks to you, 2014 was a very successful year for

Trinity Oaks. We hit many milestones and are proud to

announce the continued expansion of our programs in

the coming year. Here are a few of our favorite highlights

from 2014.

2014

Hitting all Our Goals:

IMPACTED 189 HEROES

Our veterans have sacrificed so much for this country. In 2014, 189 of our nation’s heroes, including Purple Heart veterans from World War 2, Vietnam and the recent wars participated events in 5 states, Canada & Africa. Each event was aimed at not only thanking our men and women in arms but at providing a fun and therapeutic experience in nature too. These events harvested many animals that the veterans were able to take home to their families and/or donate to our local partners.

COMPLETE PROCESSING PLANT

Lots of exciting things happening at the

Trinity Oaks Meat Processing Plant..

One of our goals in 2014 was to expand

the processing plant to handle additional

volume. Because of donations received

we were able to construct a 20x30 walk-

in freezer and a 20x30 walk-in cooler.

We also completed a project for a secure

parking lot that house all of the Trinity

Oaks vehicles and trailers.

Trinity Oaks had the opportunity to impact countless lives by supporting more than 50 other Outreach Organizations.

IMPACTED LIVES

MENTORED 357 YOUTH

At Trinity Oaks, we wholeheartedly believe in the importance of outdoor experiences. In 2014, 358 youth participants were positively influenced by hunting, fishing, and other outdoor experiences! From learning how to track and hunt game, to baiting a hook and catching a fish, children of all ages learned about the beauty and importance of God’s great outdoors. Safety is a top priority at Trinity Oaks and our H2O youth programs. We encourage all youth participants to take Hunter’s Education, CPR, first aid and survival skills. Our goal with the youth is to get them off the couch and out in the woods and on the water. Many life lessons can be taught in the field and can be used throughout their lives. Your support helped us reach our goals!

From local food shelves and charitable organizations, to orphanages in Mexico, the generous donations from Trinity Oaks participants and members of the community we were able to process and deliver over 500,000 healthy meals to those in need.

100,320 LBS OF MEAT DISTRIBUTED

GRANTED DREAM HUNTS

HEROES CELEBRATED The events are just as much about the hunting and fishing as it

is about showing our humble appreciation and immense

respect for these brave men and women. Through adaptive

methods, such as Trinity Oaks’ Action Trackchair (a

customized, all-terrain wheelchair on tracks), veterans can

move beyond physical limitations to enjoy hunting and fishing

with increased mobility and independence. Trinity Oaks

understands that not all injuries are physical and often host

veterans who are dealing with PTSD and other mental

traumas. In 2014 we held vents in Texas, New Mexico,

British Colombia, Maine, Wyoming and Namibia, Africa.

2nd ANNUAL UNDER THE OAKS GALA With Capt. Chad Fleming (RET) as a guest speaker and entertainment by Thom Shepherd & Coley McCabe how could the night not be a success? 2014 DREAM HUNTS

The hunting or fishing is a major part of any Trinity Oaks’

Dream Trip, but the simple time creating happy memories

around an evening campfire is just as important for the afflicted

participant and their family. An outside spectator, without the

knowledge of participant’s condition and backstory, would look

around the fire and see normalcy… The outsider would see a

happy family — and that is what we all see too, even if it was

just an evening, there was no talk of sickness, doctors, or the

future.
