Stephen Ministry Training

Stephen Ministry Referrals… we all know someone… Someone in crisis who doesn’t know where to turn.

Someone who is tense, upset, worn out – needing someone to talk with and care.

You’d like to help – but how? There are three easy steps.

Listen and care for your friend in your own relaonship together.

Ask your friend for permission to share his or her need with someone who can help. Be sure to

tell your friend that all informaon will be kept confidenal.

Once permission is given, report his or her need as promptly as possible by contacng the

church office.

Referrals can be submiEed and a follow up call will be made by the Referrals Coordinator.

send an email. He can be reached by cell phone at 260-3381 or by email at [email protected].

We are really hoping to have a wonderful turn out again this year but really need everyone interest-

WELCOME: Welcome all who come to worship with us this morning. We pray that as you come to worship, you will truly experience the presence of God. To make that experience even more meaningful, there are a few things about our facility and worship that you should know:

Mother’s Room: The sounds of babies crying are sounds of a healthy church! We welcome them with open arms as Jesus did. In the event your child becomes too restless, there is a Mother’s Room with sound and a see-

through glass to the sanctuary for mothers with infants to use as needed during the worship services.

Restrooms are located off of the narthex in the hallway and to the left.

“Welcome” Cards are in the pew racks to record worship and communion attendance. Please fill one out and place it in the offering basket.

Guests are especially welcome to worship this morning. If you are looking for a church home, we would be hon-ored if you considered Trinity to be that home. In order to follow up and properly welcome you, please fill out a “1st Time Visitor” card in the pew rack, place it in the offering basket, and sign our guest register at the entrance of our sanctuary.

New Member Reception TODAY Sunday, July 22 — 10:30 am

Please join us in welcoming our newest members to the church family. We will

gather in the Fellowship Hall for a connental breakfast recepon served by the

Board of Parish Fellowship.

Now Hiring — Technology Coordinator

James Braaten has been serving as our Technology Coordinator, but he will be stepping down to

focus on a new business venture. Please thank James for his service to Trinity and let him know

that we wish him well in his new adventure!

Technology Coordinator is a Part Time Posion (8-15 hours/week), and has some flexibil-

ity, but primarily works on Sunday mornings. This posion is responsible for organizing

volunteers and running the sound board and ProPresenter on Sunday mornings, as well

as video recording Sunday services for our TV ministry. This posion is also currently re-

sponsible for updang our website and Facebook pages, although we are considering

spliTng out that poron of the job descripon. To apply, stop in the church office to pick up a job

descripon and applicaon, or send a resumé to Amy Glimm ([email protected]). If you

would like more informaon about the posion, please call Amy at the church office, 257-5683.

Grief Myths

MYTH: Tough it out; the pain will go away. Other people who have lost loved ones seem to be

okay.

FACT: God meets us where we are, not where we pretend to be. Don't be brave and strong, be hu-

man.

The next GriefShare group will start Sunday, August 19. Contact the church

office at 257-5683 or email [email protected] for more informaon.

Today: "You Feed Them" Speaker Emeritus of The Lutheran Hour:

Rev. Dr. Ken Klaus Every job looks like it's easy if you don't have

to do it. That was certainly the case when Jesus told His disciples to feed the crowd.

With no McDonald's in the area, they came back and asked Jesus to do what they couldn't.

We would be wise if we did the same. (Mark 6:37)
