TENDERS are invited for the Provision of Renal Dialysis Services in Trinidad for the Ministry of Health.

The pupose of this undertaking is to enable persons in Trinidad and Tobago who are suffering from renal failure to have access to

End Stage Renal Dialysis (ESRD) services that meet the full requirements of the Ministry of Health of Trinidad and Tobago while

providing value for money.

TENDERS FOR THE EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE NATIONAL AIDS COORDINATING COMMITTEE (NACC)

OFFICE OF THE PRIME MINISTER

Consultants for—

(i) Behavioural Change Communications to plan annual campaigns and produce materials for target groups; and

(ii) Coordinating and Implementation of a comprehensive HIV/AIDS Health Sector Plan.

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO (GORTT) has received a loan from the International Bank ofReconstruction and Development towards the implementation of the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Project and it intends to applythe proceeds of the loan towards the procurement of the goods, works, related services, and consulting services under this project. TheNACC, which falls under the aegis of the Office of the Prime Minister, has been established to execute this project.

The GORTT has developed a five-year National Strategic Plan (NSP) 2004–2008 as the guide to the national response toHIV/AIDS. The NSP proposes five (5) priority areas—

1. Prevention of the spread of HIV/AIDS.

2. Treatment, Care and Support.

3. Advocacy and Human Rights.

4. Surveillance and Research.

5. Programme Management, Co-ordination and Evaluation.

The project seeks to—

(i) Design and implement a Communications Programme to intensify HIV/AIDS education and awareness using multiplecommunication channels to target messages for different audiences.

(ii) Coordinate the efforts of Ministries and agencies that assume various roles in HIV/AIDS prevention and control. TheMinistry of Health (MOH) would be the dominant ministry being responsible for all clinical aspects of the project as wellas the design and implementation of project activities within their respective areas.

The NACC Secretariat is therefore desirous of procuring the services of the following consultants:

(i) Behavioural Change Communication Consultant for planning annual campaigns and producing materials for targetgroups. The consultant will design and implement an Information, Education and Communication Prevention andIntervention campaign, focusing on behaviour change strategies to intensify HIV/AIDS awareness using multiplecommunication channels.

(ii) HIV/AIDS Consultant to establish with the MOH including the Regional Health Authorities, NACC and key partners fromother ministries, the implementation of a comprehensive HIV/AIDS Prevention, Treatment and Care Health SectorPlan.

Technical proposals will be opened shortly after closing at the Board’s Office in the presence of the bidders who choose to attend.
