TENDERS FOR THE PURCHASE OF USED AUTOMOTIVE BATTERIES BELONGING TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THEREPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO FOR THE PERIOD 1ST JANUARY, 2012 TO 31ST DECEMBER, 2012
TENDERS are invited for the purchase of Used Automotive Batteries belonging to the Government of the Republic of Trinidad andTobago for the period 1st January, 2012 to 31st December, 2012.
Tender documents may be obtained during normal working hours at the Central Tenders Board’s Office, 116, Frederick Street,Port-of-Spain. Any further technical information may be obtained from Mr. Vivian Joseph, Environmental Programme Officer I,Environmental Management Authority, 165, Tragarete Road, Port-of-Spain at Telephone Number 622-9270, Ext. 4225 andFax Number 628-8808.
Tenders must be accompanied by the following:
(a) valid Income Tax and Value Added Tax Clearance Certificates issued by the Board of Inland Revenue; and(b) valid Compliance Certificate issued in accordance with the National Insurance Act.
Tenderers must include in their submission a detailed statement on the method to be employed in handling, sorting disposing ofthe used batteries.
The successful tenderer will be required to pay a Performance Deposit or provide a Bond in the sum of five thousand dollars($5,000.00) as a guarantee for the proper performance of the contract.
The tender, on the approved tender form (in duplicate), should be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside:“Tender for the purchase of Used Automotive Batteries belonging to the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for theperiod 1st January, 2012 to 31st December, 2012” and must be addressed to the Chairman, Central Tenders Board, 116, FrederickStreet, Port-of-Spain. Tenders must be deposited in the Brown Tenders Box located in the lobby of the Board’s Office not later than1.00 p.m. on Thursday 1st December, 2011.
Tenderers should note that the dimensions of the slot on the Tenders Box are 37.5 cm x 5.5 cm and as such, tenders should bepackaged accordingly.
Tenders will be opened publicly at the Board’s Office shortly thereafter. The tenderer or his representative may be present at theopening.
The Board reserves the right to cancel the present notice in its entirety or even partially, without defraying any cost incurred byany tenderer in submitting their tender.
Late tenders will not be considered in any circumstances.
The Board does not bind itself to accept any tender.
