Scott and Paula Dunn’s family, which includes chil-dren Stephen, age 18, and Lydia, age 16, has been on the field in Romania for four and a half years. They have lived in Arad and worked with the

Emmanuel Christian Centre, the first Free Methodist Church in Romania which af-filiated in 2005. Scott has worked alongside the pastor and leadership team to engage and encourage the development of leaders within the congregation while Paula has served in the areas of ministry to the children, youth and with the worship team. Scott has also been coaching the leaders of a new church plant in the community and has developed a network of relationships with other church planters across Romania. Paula serves as a volunteer and on the board of Oaza, a ministry to at-risk families in the community which includes a family home for abandoned children and an after-school program for the community among other ministries. Stephen and Lydia have been attending school at home via the internet, as well as being involved in various church and community activities. Stephen plays guitar in the worship band of the church plant Scott has been coaching and for the Emmanuel youth group. He has also been playing on a community rugby team this year. Lydia often volunteers with activities for Oaza in the summer months, as well as being involved in a local dance troupe and taking flute lessons. Stephen hopes to attend university this fall and Lydia will begin her senior year in high school. The family will be in the United States for about a year as they work on building partnerships with Free Methodist churches. Their desire is to return to Romania. Originally from Ohio, Scott served as pastor of the Youngstown FMC for five years. Both he and Paula planted a church and worked in Columbus for 10 years before moving to Romania.
